As a Senior Product Manager, LSD Disease Education working on the US Hematology & Rare Diseases team, you will be empowered to reduce the time to diagnosis for individuals living with LSD s and educate frontline healthcare providers (HCPs) to recognize the signs and symptoms of Type 1 Gaucher Disease and MPS II (Hunter Syndrome). In this role, you will contribute to Takeda s mission by developing creative outreach programs using innovative tools including non-personal promotion, digital marketing, speaker programs, predictive analytics leads, patient ambassadors, and social media. A typical day will include:

  • Being an active member of the LSD Marketing Team and champion disease education outreach to HCPs, caregivers, and patients.
  • Direct effective Non-Personal Promotion (NPP) efforts across the Gaucher Disease and Hunter Syndrome franchises
    • Deploy disease state digital ads to targeted HCPs
    • Coordinate creation of disease state ads across HCP and community journals (digital and print)
  • Manage impactful speaker, ambassador, and mentor programs
    • Oversee agency execution of programs
    • Creation of new speaker decks and coordinate speaker training
    • Author annual plan and needs assessment; contract speakers
  • Launch disease state website
    • Liaise with Global Medical Affairs (GMA) colleagues to shape content
    • Oversee website design, build and deployment
    • Promote website and tie into digital initiatives and channels (e.g. NPP, social)
  • Create tools for Healthcare Educators (HCE s) and Regional Disease Education Managers (RDEM s)
    • Manage vendor and develop programming for HCE s to deliver to HCP s, caregivers, and patients
    • Expand LSD awareness tools, targeting HCP subspecialties
  • Lead Hunter Syndrome awareness campaigns
    • Deploy bilingual digital and print programming to educate caregivers
  • Build social media pages for LSD communities
    • Create content calendar and oversee launch and tie-in to digital platform assets
    • Manage build-out and compliant monitoring
  • Manage Hunter / Elaprase promotional materials
    • Liaise with RBMs/RDEMs/ZDs to identify opportunities for new tools
    • Manage brand asset (re)approvals, inventory and distribution
    • Represent brand in weekly CMLR meetings
  • Champion disease state education efforts at congresses and advocacy events
    • Manage programs for MPS Awareness Day and Gaucher Awareness Month
    • Design booth and materials at HCP congresses and advocacy

  • Digital marketing experience
  • Background in advocacy, communications agency, or patient services

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor s degree, MBA is a plus
  • Relevant background in pharmaceutical marketing, medical device marketing, sales, advocacy, patient services, pharma consulting, market research, or creative/communications agency. 5+ years of work experience
  • Knowledge and experience of working in a Marketing role within the Rare/Orphan disease space an advantage
  • Agency management experience (briefing/execution/budgetary oversight) preferred

Travel Requirement:

Approximately 10-15%
