As a Director, Field Operations working on the Commercial Operations team, you will be empowered to ensure operational activities supporting customer engagement tools and processes are accomplished accurately and in accordance with the timing needs of the Sales Force. In this role, you will contribute to Takeda s mission by evaluating effectiveness of existing systems, vendors, and processes and Incentive Compensation (IC) plan design to enable Business Unit (BU) leadership to take action in order to drive operational excellence, allocate resources and maximize overall profitability of the sales force. A typical day will include:


Engagement and collaboration with the various BU s at Takeda as well as field personnel to develop feedback and insights to identify unmet needs and help improve performance. Ability to work across functions to develop efficient and effective solutions which balance the needs and resources of the business unit is critical. Person in role must be innovative in evaluating sales force alignments, incentives, call planning, product opportunities and product lifecycle to propose efficient operating models that deliver results and achieve BU financial goals. Role is expected to bring a fresh perspective on incentives, targeting, and alignments.

This role requires a deep understanding of market forces, competitive dynamics, and industry trends to proactively identify opportunities to guide resource allocation and field deployment decisions. Person in role must continue to partner with internal business stakeholders to look beyond the immediate needs and anticipate mid and long-term deployment needs that can have an impact on business decisions.

The Director, Field Operations must also understand the linkage of incentivized behaviors to top line financial results. This role will be expected to create customized solutions to differentiate the behaviors of Takeda s salesforce from the competition.

Finally, the Director must be able to govern well-controlled and documented processes for territory alignments and call planning, ensuring adherence to regulatory and compliance policies/standards (CIA/IROs). Furthermore, individual must be able to discuss related topics with IROs, etc. and ensure readiness for reporting and mock audits.

Responsibilities
% of Time Job Function and Description
60% Actively partnering to drive a strategic approach to call plan activities. Ensure proper documentation and control of processes. Ensure CIA adherence for activities and preparation for compliance reporting and mock audits.
15% Coordination with US Sales Deployment and COE departments to implement call plans, IC, reporting and tracking procedures.
25% Serve on multi-disciplinary teams to integrate US Commercial Effectiveness best practices across departments. Create awareness of market forces, competitive dynamics, and industry trends relating to alignment models, incentive compensations strategies and targeting methodologies that reflect the evolving stakeholder landscape.

Education and Experience Requirements
A Bachelor s degree in Business Management, Marketing or related subject is preferred
6-8 years Sales Operations experience.
Experience in design and interpretation of call planning and alignment management
Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management
Strong analytical and statistical skills
Ability to present analytical results to internal clients up to the executive level
Experience working with IROs and/or Internal Audit teams to evaluate call planning and IC processes.
Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry preferred.

Other Job Requirements
20% Travel as required supporting Takeda s current & emerging footprint. Duties will sometimes call for early or late meetings and/or attendance to meetings on holidays and weekends.
