Primary Duties:

The Materials Management Warehouse Operations department is looking for an organized, dedicated, and hard working individual to perform driver duties as well as shipping/receiving/warehousing functions at our GMP warehouse facilities.

  • Transport GMP Raw Materials, General Supplies, and equipment as needed in the company box truck to support all operations at Shire HGT. 30%
  • Receive and Quarantine GMP Raw Materials and General Supplies in the GMP warehouse via the company ERP system. 20%
  • Maintain GMP Raw Material and General Supply inventory accuracy via the company ERP system. 20%
  • Maintain warehouse in a constant state of organization and GMP compliance. 10%
  • Maintain GMP cold chain equipment in a constant state of organization and GMP compliance. 10 %
  • Package and ship bulk drug substance to fill sites. 10%

Education and Experience Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • CDL Truck Driver s License

Key Skills, Abilities, and Competencies

  • 5 - 10 years trucking/warehouse experience required.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Previous experience in an SOP based or GMP environment preferred.
  • IATA and DOT certified preferred.
  • Previous forklift experience preferred.
  • Leadership Capabilities (DNA): Accountability and ownership, Serving Customers, and Delivering Excellence.

Complexity and Problem Solving

  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment dealing with multiple priorities/tasks at multiple locations.
  • Must be able to work closely with Supply Chain Supervisors and Manufacturing personnel to manage deliveries efficiently and accurately.
  • Must be able to work closely with the Materials Management, QC Raw Materials, Purchasing and A/P departments to resolve discrepancies related to purchase orders & ERP transactions.

Other Job Requirements

  • CDL Driver s License is required.
  • Clean Driving Record required.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a forklift license. To include ability to operate all material handling equipment operated in the Supply Chain Warehouse Operations.
  • Carry company/department issued mobile phone to respond to emergency requests and critical equipment alarm notifications 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days per year.
  • Overtime (scheduled/non-scheduled) is required at times to support department and manufacturing operations at other facilities.
