Responsible for driving Takeda's IG/Albumin portfolio through management of branded and unbranded initiatives in support of demonstrating payer coverage, health economic value, and comparative clinical efficacy, in support driving formulary access, product selection, and coverage pull/sell through. The Payer Marketing Lead will work closely with the Brand marketing team, US Managed Markets, and US Public Affairs to help develop strategy and execution plans. They will working with Field Sales to development and execution of programs and collateral for the current Payer landscape. The PML shares responsibility for Advertising & Promotions (A&P) expense targets and is responsible for managing the budget for his/her areas of accountability, including budget phasing, tracking and ongoing oversight. A successful candidate will drive market research for respective initiatives, analysis of data from research for strategic decision making, and insights in support of advancing the IG/Albumin portfolio within key infusion offices, health systems, specialty pharmacies and distribution partners, and health care providers.

In addition, the Director will:

  • Deliver on flawless and expedient execution in the US market through cross-functional team leadership and strong collaboration.
  • Execute on brand strategy and positioning within the Immunology market.
  • Lead a cross functional team that is dedicated and focused on the strategic imperatives set forth in the IG/Albumin brand plans.
  • Own budget tracking for team spend and must be at +/- 5% of commitment on a quarterly basis (or cadence determined by finance)
  • Ensure that all compliance guidelines are instituted on each material developed and the appropriate process is followed without exception as noted in Code of Ethics.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor s degree
  • Generally, has 5-8 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • 3+ years of experience in marketing required with demonstrated record of success in driving brand performance.
  • Track record of strong strategic thinking coupled with effective implementation.
  • Country level experience in the U.S. is a plus. Strong ability to understand both internal and external market environments, key stakeholder priorities and relationships.
  • Ability to convert strategy to action.
  • Strong business acumen and proven leadership in driving business objectives in a matrixed environment.
  • Experience in driving differentiation and an expert knowledge of marketing fundamentals
  • Background in strategic planning and stakeholder engagement
  • Proven ability to develop a strategic engagement plan and flexibility to think in different scenarios
  • Experience in marketing to strategic customers preferred (e.g., Payers, Policy Makers, Channel Partners)

Desired

  • MBA preferred
  • Payer marketing experience highly preferred
  • Field sales experience preferred
  • Experience in senior marketing positions at a commercial pharmaceutical organization.
  • Experience with assigned product or therapeutic area as needed.

Demonstrated success and outcomes in cross-functional leadership roles in pharmaceutical development and / or commercialization
