Primary Duties:

Primary duties of the position are focused around laboratory support provided by the particle lab which identifies particles found in GMP operations. Primary activities would generally include but are not limited to testing using FTIR, RAMAN, SEM, and Polarized light microscopy, data analysis, SOP authorship / revisions, technical report writing / reviewing, project leadership including method/equipment validation, laboratory harmonization initiatives, initiating/completing quality systems, method projects activities and inspection/investigation support,.


Project leadership / management / execution, document revisions (stability protocols/specifications updates), initiating/completing quality systems


In laboratory testing, data review / compilation, technical report / document generation


Involvement in other QC activities as required; involvement on departmental and cross-functional teams as required on various initiatives and/or quality events


Regulatory and/or inspection support, method projects activities

Education & Experience Requirements:

Typically requires a bachelor s degree and a minimum of 5 year of related experience.

(a science related degree is preferred)

Additional Specific Experience:

  • In Lab experience with particle characterization methods (FTIR / RAMAN / LIBS / SEM / PLM)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize work and multitask.

Conducts work in compliance with cGMPs, safety and regulatory requirements.

Other Job Requirements:

Some travel expected; although not routine. Travel between sites may be required.

The following physical abilities are required in order to fulfill the job duties:

-Repetitive bending and reaching to setup and break-down equipment (if required by specific activity)

-Ability to work around chemicals (if working around the laboratories)

-Ability to wear personal protective equipment such as gloves, gowning, and respiratory protection in some cases

-Ability to walk and stand for periods of time

-Individual may be required to participate in environmental chamber monitoring program which would include the use of an on-call mobile phone as well as on-site support during non-business hours
