SUMMARY: The Trainer is responsible for the implementation and coordination of specific training and development initiatives for 3rd Shift; creates and implements systems for tracking, registration and evaluation; conducts basic training sessions on all manufacturing procedures and facilitates employee orientation ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Schedules, coordinates and maintains master schedule for training programs, course, space and facilities for all manufacturing employees assigned to 3rd shift Distributes training communications (memos, schedules, descriptions, etc.) Arranges for outside services (a/v, food, equipment, etc.) Assembles course materials Tracks participation, evaluations and reports results to management QUALIFICATIONS: Must be willing and able to work 3rd Shift: 11:00pm-7:30am, Sunday night/Monday morning through Thursday night/Friday morning Solid organizational skills Ability to manage multiple requests and changing priorities with high degree of detail and efficiency Great interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment Well developed oral and written communication skills Ability to lead without authority Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines Strong understanding of Takeda's filling, inspection and packaging operations Strong understanding of cGMP / GDP / Safety Policies and demonstrated ability to explain content to colleagues This position requires shift, weekend and holiday work; overtime will be required at times The incumbent may work in a clean room environment, requiring special garments Personal protective equipment must be worn due to safety, cGMP and FDA requirements Understanding of intermediate chemical and biological safety procedures Embody the Takeda Leadership Behaviors: Be Positive. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelors degree preferred 3-5 years of experience working in an FDA-regulated manufacturing environment, including machine operation PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 30 lbs. Repetitive motions with hands, wrists, turning head, bending at knees and waist Involves a good amount of sitting at computer while working WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to work in controlled environments requiring special gowning; will be required to follow gowning requirements and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body No make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish or artificial fingernails may be worn in the manufacturing environment May work in a cold, wet environment May be required to work in a confined area Will be exposed to some Clean Room and cool/hot storage conditions
