Job Description

Oversees the promotion of US Oncology Business Unit products, as well as leading a specified Oncology Territory Manager (OTM) team, within an assigned regional geography
Executes the national brand strategy and develops a regional plan for the OTMs within their region
Responsible for the achievement of assigned regional sales targets and for delivering on established performance goals
Develops and coaches OTMs
Ensures all commercial functions are executed in a compliant manner, working within a dedicated budget, and executing national and regional strategy

Recruits, manages, trains and motivates direct reporting staff according to company procedures and policies
Obtains commitments from OTMs to ensure that the sales strategy and sales plan is successful in assigned territory
Oversees the handling of key accounts, provides a high level of scientific expertise, and ensures customer service to all accounts
Assists in the development and execution of major programs to meet sales objectives
Calls on targeted customers, providing technical and administrative product information and educational programs
Ensures regional utilization of customer relationship management (CRM) tool to aid in business planning, reporting and tracking of execution
Responsible for leading effective regional training and communication efforts to ensure team is adequately informed and engaged
Responsible for new account development and/or expanding existing accounts within established region
Creates, builds, and maintains relationships with physicians, key office personnel and key thought leaders
Ensures team and personal compliance with applicable laws and regulations concerning interaction with healthcare professionals (HCPs), product sampling and appropriate dissemination of literature and information
Possesses strong business acumen and analysis of regional business trends and opportunities
Drives for results, establishing goals, managing resources, and achieving goals with limited supervision
Accountable for executing marketing plans and driving for results
Accountable for executing and delivering business reviews as indicated by the NSD or ASD
Works with Business Insights and Analytics to fully understand regional business to determine product opportunity
Builds and maintains strong interactions and partnerships with internal stakeholders, including Marketing, Medical Affairs, Patient Value & Access (PVA), Clinical Nurse Educators (CNEs), and Sales Training
Attends and participates in key regional and national medical and educational conferences, such as those put on by the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), the American Society of Hematology (ASH), and critical GPO related events



Bachelor s Degree
8+ years of commercial experience in the pharmaceutical and/or biotech industry
Comprehension and delivery of oral-based products within the oncology space
o For hematology positions, strong preference for hematology experience
o For solid tumor positions, strong preference for solid tumor experience
Proven ability to manage a large geographic region
Track record of being able to lead others both by example and through direct authority
Documented sales success and strong established relationships in assigned region
High science aptitude and proven ability to coach teach and train
Dynamic, self-starter with strong influential skills, as well as entrepreneurial spirit
Ability to develop and use effective sales tactics to optimize new accounts within assigned region
Ability to build and maintain strong, professional relationships
Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
Commercial, Regulatory and technical awareness
The ability to navigate a large multi-disciplinary geography that requires a minimum of 50-60% travel
Possession of valid US Driver s License in good standing

5+ years of direct oncology leadership experience
Master s Degree is a plus

Minimum of 50-60% travel
