Job Title: GI TAU Business Operations, Student Intern

Department Name: Business Operations, Gastroenterology Therapeutic Area Unit

Position Summary:

GI TAU Business Operations serves the broad GI Therapeutic Area Unit (TAU) by facilitating and managing identified non-pipeline division priorities for functions within the TAU such as global and local business initiatives with project planning, communication and implementation in a cross-functional global matrix environment.

This role will report to the Associate Director, Business Operations, GI TAU and will be assigned various tasks in support of ongoing Business Operations initiatives.

The position will offer a unique perspective into a world-class biopharmaceutical company, combining real-world experience in business operations and project management with an overview of the pharmaceutical industry and clinical development.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with annual maintenance GI TAU Collaboration Team Site, including updating content, images, videos
  • Support meeting planning activities related to the annual GI Summit, a face-to-face business critical meeting of 200 stakeholders across the organization
  • Review various internal reports to identify key GI stakeholders in support of the TAU s communication strategy
  • Assist with various visual communications efforts in support of GI Communications Plan
  • Contribute to development of Key Performance Indicator dashboard/metrics to review operational performance for Business Ops activities and portfolio activities.
  • Contribute to the review and maintenance of the TAU s contract repository and master terms spreadsheet
  • Perform administrative duties supporting Business Ops staff (e.g. copying, scanning, scheduling meetings, etc)


  • 3rd or 4th year undergraduate student
  • Ability to review, analyze, and interpret data
  • Good level of computer literacy with Microsoft applications
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good communication and writing skills
