US-MA, 2019 Summer Internship - Drug Safety Research & Evaluation R0007012-MZ
Intern, Global Drug Safety Research & Evaluation, Takeda (Cambridge, MA)
Understanding the mechanism of how pharmaceutical drugs affect the immune system is essential for treating disease and for minimizing unwanted toxicity. Join Takeda s Investigative Toxicology team for a semester and help our group run experiments to predict and/or define immune-related toxicities. Learn the latest in-vitro/ex-vivo techniques for analyzing the immune mechanisms responsible for potential immunotoxicities such as: immunostimulation, immunosuppression, hypersensitivity and autoimmunity. The successful applicant will help us build a bridge between cellular models, in-vitro experiments and clinical and preclinical in vivo studies.
Students will gain real-world experience working as part of a research team generating and analyzing data from dozens of projects. Instruction and mentorship will be provided by immunotoxicologists.
Students with experience in immunological techniques, cell culture, and data analysis.
Paid Intern (Fixed Term) (Trainee)
