Lead the innovation and excellence strategy and implementation for medical education, publications and external engagement in collaboration with the GMA Franchises and across Oncology Medical Affairs (OMA).
Provide strategic leadership and direction for medical education innovation, publication excellence, and external engagement (eg, medical societies, patient, etc.) in strong alignment with GMA Franchises, Global Product Team (GPT), Market Access, Commercial and the Integrated Disease and Product Strategy (IDAPs) 12 key markets (5 Regions and 7 countries).
Understand current trends, benchmarking and how the company is perceived by external stakeholders (eg, HCPs, patients/patient groups) in order to generate insights (e.g., surveys, ad boards together with Franchises), identify new solutions and optimize engagement models.
Partner with internal stakeholders (e.g., GGD Digital, GMA Clin Ops, Medical Franchise Heads, Digital/MCE, etc.) to identify innovative solutions/ strategic partners to enhance our medical education and external engagement models.
Provide strategic direction for KPIs, metrics and analytics to demonstrate impact and value of medical education, publication and external engagement across Oncology Medical Affairs.
Lead innovation and operational excellence initiatives to enhance and optimize the Scientific Engagement and Communications (SEC) operating model.
Partner with GMA Governance to develop risk mitigation plans and implement monitoring activities across SEC.
Partner with Pharma and cross divisional stakeholders (eg, Clinical Disclosure Office, etc.) to drive publication excellence through development and implementation of processes, policies and systems across GMA and Oncology Medical Affairs.
Ensure close collaboration with Legal/Compliance to assess and understand opportunities for innovative solutions for medical education, publications and external engagement in the context of policy and regulatory requirements.
Builds high-performance teams and ensures career development of reports through active participation in performance management and talent planning processes.

Advanced degree (e.g MD, PharmD, PhD) or equivalent education/degree in life science/healthcare is preferred.
15 years experience in pharmaceutical industry or healthcare related, ideally R&D, Medical Affairs
Demonstrated organizational awareness including experience working cross- functionally and globally with strong influencing and leadership skills in a matrix organization
Excellent working knowledge of Medical Affairs activities including Medical Information, Medical Education and Scientific Exchange
Skilled at communicating complex medical and scientific concepts to lay audiences
Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills
Experience in building and leading high performing teams in challenging competitive environments
Strong leader of project teams with demonstrated innovative and pragmatic approach
