The Manager, Oncology Field Skills Training is responsible for the strategy, creation and implementation of Field Skills Development advanced skills curriculum for Field Sales Specialists in the Oncology commercial organization. The curriculum will utilize innovative sales learning techniques and provide learning solutions in the core Sales Competencies Selling & Influencing, Customer/Market Acumen, and Strategy/Planning & Implementation. The field skills team will align across Oncology Franchise Sales teams, Marketing, and HQ training functions, and will be responsible to deliver skills-based training in support of all key brands as well as new-hire training to drive positive customer interactions and ensure field associates success in a complex and evolving selling environment.
Lead the development and implementation of the Skills Training Strategy and Curriculum:
Conduct training needs assessments to identify and prioritize field skills training opportunities in the core selling competencies based on the short and long-term goals of the franchise
Collaborate with HQ Training, Curriculum Manager, external vendors/SMEs, and key BU functions (eg. Sales, Marketing, HR) in the development of skills training materials that reflect the specific training needs of the franchise
Ensure curriculum is designed to accommodate progressive learning from fundamental through thought leader
Ensure the highest quality of training delivery (program execution) via thorough preparation, audience analysis and partnership with field leadership.
Develop and pull through training strategy in the field using a variety of tactics (live and virtual facilitation, Train the Trainers, Peer-based teaching, field support tools, coaching and performance support etc.) and technologies
Conduct on-going curriculum analysis (customer feedback, field interactions) and leverage results to inform/adjust training strategy and curriculum as needed Drive the adoption and integration of the Sales Model behaviors and skills; collaborate with HQ training leads and field leadership to ensure pull-through and ongoing support.
Embed skills training into New Hire Training curriculum (Phase 1, 2 and 3).
Support new hire training for all skills-based curriculum.
Develop and oversee the national strategy for the Regional Field Training Specialists (RFTS) role and build internal support for execution.
Oversee the development and production of RFTS materials and resources and conduct RFTS train-the-trainer sessions as needed to maintain and develop RFTS training skills.
Work in concert with EBDs in the nomination and selection of RFTS candidates. Update and deliver StandCrew Training at all major Oncology conventions.
Partner with Learning Technology to integrate the latest virtual learning resources and techniques to maximize learning effectiveness.
Design complete measurement strategies for all advanced skills curriculum coursework.
Analyze and report on relevant metrics to measure business impact of all advanced skills training programs.
Partner with Ethics and Compliance to develop and integrate training resources which reinforce and strengthen adherence to relevant processes and procedures. Mentor and develop future talent for the HQ Training team.

BA/BS Required; Masters degree and/or training certifications preferred
3+ years of pharmaceutical experience (any combination of the following):
Sales representative/account manager (oncology experience preferred)
Sales training or field training role
Presentation and platform skills, plus ability to communicate/facilitate group interactions with audiences ranging from sales associates to Senior leadership
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and be accountable for individual & department results
Strong Communication (oral/written) & Interpersonal skills
Demonstrated expertise in the sales competencies (including fluency in sales models)
Knowledge of Adult Learning Principles and Instructional Design
Creativity and innovation including fluency in multiple learning technologies (virtual classrooms, learning platforms) and demonstrated innovation in virtual and live training techniques
