The Associate Director, Sales Operations is a strategy, operations and occasional customer-facing role. Accountable for customer/business centric initiatives, driving customer strategies at a regional/national level, commercial excellence/execution and ensuring operational efficiency and alignment at the region and franchise level. Translate HQ strategy into field force strategy and action Articulate translation of strategy from HQ to field areas/regions ensuring local excellence in execution of key strategies and programs Work with brand teams on specific go to market models, key marketing programs for local application, execution and continuous improvement 2) Identify scalable business opportunities to improve regional/national impact in the patient journey / cancer management Work directly with EBDs and ASMs to template, align and consolidate Region and Area business/market plans; identify and implement regional/national business opportunities: key regional accounts; institutional projects and differentiation of Novartis Oncology across external stakeholders Considering current dynamics (e.g. increased competition, cost pressure, access restrictions, growing number of stakeholders), develop and drive strategies and tactics that meet clearly identified customer needs and increase field force access and quality impact 3) Ensure and improve field force efficiency and effectiveness Ensure dynamic resource allocation at the national, regional and area levels and liaise with Finance to assist EBDs in management of REF budget Monitor and assess the impact of strategies and tactics at the national, regional and area level to drive executional excellence and optimize profitability Provide consultation to the EBD and ASMs to proactively perform value added analysis and to provide appropriate support to implement required business changes Regional planning and operations: monitor regional activity and provide timely inputs for field dashboard to leadership Ongoing and Ad Hoc review of Incentive Compensation (IC) payout distribution, field force performance, etc. Liaise with ASMs and Field Force Operations Business Partner on data challenges and resolution Assist Director, Strategy and Operations on various initiatives and special projects and serve as back-up/delegate on key committees and work streams as needed

Bachelor s degree required, MBA preferred Minimum 6 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales, marketing , market access , incentives or strategy Two or more years in sales leadership preferred Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently Demonstrated ability to quickly build relationships to collaborate with and influence cross functional stakeholders Demonstrated prioritization, organizational, analytical. Research and technical skills, and the ability to conceptualize complex issues, processes, and solutions History of delivering in a highly visible, fast paced environment; launch experience preferred Demonstrated ability to achieve organizational objectives by working through others, including the ability to anticipate, adapt, own and/or work in a group to support changing business needs
