Associate Specialty Representative


Join us for an exciting opportunity to help drive growth and shape the future of the antibiotic market. Amplity Health has partnered with Melinta Therapeutics to support the promotion of one of their leading antibiotic products.  We are looking for highly driven and passionate Associate Specialty Representatives who are ready to make a difference in patient lives.


The Associate Specialty Representative targets, promotes and sells products to physicians and other specialized healthcare providers. The Associate Specialty Representative manages his/her territory in order to maintain existing customers and develop relationships with new physicians and other specialized healthcare providers to achieve regional and corporate objectives.  As a member of the sales team, the Associate Specialty Representative works closely with the Regional Sales Manager, other region team members and other groups internal & external, to achieve regional and corporate objectives. 

 

Education and Experience:

Required:
  • Bachelor s Degree required
  • Minimum 3 or more years of pharmaceutical selling experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Computer and software experience; proficiency using Microsoft word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Valid driver s license, clean driving record, and no significant vehicular violations for the past three years, e.g., driving under the influence, leaving scene of accident, license suspension or revocation, etc.
  • Ability to travel as necessary or required, which may include overnight and/or weekend travel
 
 
Preferred:
  • Experience in antibacterial therapeutic area/industry.
  • Experience selling in primary care or urgent care setting advantageous
  • Successful pharmaceutical sales experience selling branded products against generic competitors desirable
  • Consultative selling experience preferred. 
 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities                                                                               

  • Engage Primary Care physicians and, such other healthcare providers identified by Sales Management, including physician Specialists (Podiatry, Infectious Disease, Dermatology, Critical Care) within assigned geographical territory and deliver clinically focused message to introduce, launch, grow brand-share and revenue to consistently deliver on product goals.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with sales and commercial personnel and resources to ensure that appropriate product, payor, and reimbursement information is made available to targeted physicians/HCPs and to otherwise address customer requests. 
  • Execute on tactical strategies in accordance with company direction within the assigned geographic territory to achieve individual, regional and company goals for sales, market share, call metrics, etc.
  • Promote and educate targeted physicians/HCPs on the use of company products through one-on-one meetings and group presentations, company-approved promotional speaker programs, and other company-approved means.
  • Effectively and persuasively communicate with customers using effective selling, listening and negotiation skills, proper terminology and approved messaging.
  • Maintain a positive and compliant working relationship with customers and client contacts, which include all members of HCP office and staff.
  • Educate targeted customers using company-approved resources, sales materials, and promotional activities/programs/initiatives as identified by Sales Management
  • Ensure solid performance levels of call and field productivity. Meet Call Plan expectations and achieve territory, product sales goals while adhering to all PH Health Solutions and company Policies and Procedures, including company s Code of Conduct.
  • Accurately report/submit sales call activities, territory expenses and written reports and within deadline as defined by Sales Management.
  • Verify and complete required call data entry in accordance with company instructions.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of company product(s) and related antimicrobial space, including satisfactory completion of company s training program.
  • Attend and participate in teleconference and live national and, regional meetings and training sessions and represent client at national and/or local conventions when requested.
  • Regularly review and analyze all available sales data to effectively utilize promotional budget funds.
