Inside Pharmaceutical Access Specialist
The Inside Pharmaceutical Access Specialist (PAS) will be responsible for the management of defined accounts in a specified geographic region in the Cardiometabolic Therapeutic area. The PAS will execute the collaborative territory strategic plan through partnership with internal and external stakeholders, including HUB services and collaboration partners. Responsibilities include ensuring optimal access, effective pull-through, and creating understanding of access services and program support as it relates to the Cardiometabolic product portfolio. This position is located at the Client s headquarters in either Tarrytown, NY or Sleepy Hollow, N. 
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
  • On behalf of Client, promote Client's product(s) via outbound telephone calls by responding to questions from HCP targets specific to payer utilization management criteria and product access.
  • Support field-based Field Access Specialists (FAS) to include prescription case management and account follow-up as needed.
  • Listen and respond appropriately to customer needs and questions.
  • Execute against established performance parameters and monitor personal performance against these agreed parameters
  • Work closely with the client s FAS, Reimbursement, Marketing, and Access team members to ensure optimal coverage and customer knowledge of this process and all client patient services within defined accounts.
  • Maintain knowledge base necessary to ensure support of all access and patient/payer support programs offered.
  • Assist in providing  insight  throughout  the  development  of  Market Access marketing support materials as needed
  • Ensure individual training and knowledge is maintained to the level required to guarantee that personnel are seen as the most knowledgeable team in the industry as it pertains to access and reimbursement in the Cardiometabolic therapeutic area
  • Ensure training is completed and kept up-to-date to insure clinical differentiation of the product can be made through effective presentations
  • Fully comply with all laws, regulations and Publicis Health Policies, Code of Conduct, all privacy and data guidelines and relevant state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Participate in teleconference and live (when required) National, regional and district meetings and training sessions and represent client at National and/or local conventions when applicable
Education and Experience:
Minimal educational requirement: Bachelor s Degree (Master s Degree or additional advanced education/certifications a plus)
Minimum 5 years experience in pharmaceuticals and/or sub-cutaneous self-injectable biologics working in a matrix environment
Minimum 2 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales
2-5 years of experience in a customer service and/or sales required, preferably in inside sales, contact center, B2B or retail sales environment.
Experience in self injectable biologic products a plus
Experience working with products delivered through a Specialty Pharmacy network a plus
Strong collaboration skills required
Background in leadership and effective teamwork a plus
Established ability to work within an Account Management based structure
Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of CMS policies and processes with expertise in Part D (Pharmacy Benefit design and coverage policy)
Knowledge of Managed Care, Government, and Federal payer sectors
Knowledge of Integrated Delivery Network/Integrated Health Systems
Ability to display high-levels of initiative, effort and commitment successfully complete projects and assignments.
Ability to comprehend and communicate complex technical/medical terminology and to maintain the required technical expertise including competitive product knowledge.
