The Sample Control Technician receives all samples into the QC Laboratories. This position is responsible for documenting receipt, logging samples into LIMS, proper labeling and storage of samples as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Retrieves and receives all samples into the QC Laboratories
  • Logs samples into logbooks
  • Receives samples into LIMS, EBM, and/or JDE
  • Aliquots samples
  • Stores and organizes samples in appropriate Controlled Temperature Units/Environmental Chambers
  • Enter data into LIMS
  • Initiate and pull Stability Studies / Samples
  • Maintains an accurate and up-to-date training history
  • Proper use of safety procedures
  • Performs general laboratory/personal area clean-up
  • Participates in continuous improvement functions involving teams, which increases efficiency, solve problems, generate cost savings and improve quality
  • Strong team player and willingness to help others when needed
  • Able to work in a federally regulated environment
  • Other duties as assigned by management

High School Diploma or GED required

Minimum 2 year experience preferably in healthcare or related field

  • Mutitasking
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

Efficient in computer software systems such as Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.
