US-MA, Senior Metrology Technician SR0040611-MZ


Primary Role:
Serves as Senior Metrology representative at a specific location. Individual schedules calibration events, performs scheduled and unscheduled calibrations, repairs Measurement and Test Equipment. Acts as the metrological technical representative at a specific location.

Responsibilities and Percent of Time:

  • 65%: Schedule and perform calibrations IAW SOP s or manufacturers procedures on Measurement and Test Equipment insuring scheduled work requirements are met.
  • 20%:Maintain documentation IAW Metrology Master SOP and GMP requirements
  • 10%:Writes, develops and reviews Standard Operating Procedures.
  • 5%:Reviews and approves equipment specifications
  • 5%:Other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • 3 to 6 years metrology experience or equivalent
  • PMEL training
  • 2 year technical degree ISA Instrumentation Certification preferred

Key Skills, Abilities and Competencies:

  • Candidate will have demonstrated ability to deliver timely, accurate calibrations and documentation of same.
  • Good organizational, communication and time management skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot system to instrument /component level.
  • Ability to understand and follow complex instructions or procedures.
  • Proficient with software - Word, Excel, Maximo preferred.

Experience calibrating:

  • Temperature
  • Pressure
  • Conductivity
  • PH
  • Mass flow (liquid and gas)
  • Balances/scales
  • Experience with cGMP requirements.

Other Job Requirements:

  • The ability to work all shifts at all Takeda site locations/facilities.
  • Perform on-call coverage to support operations as required.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
