The Project Manager:

oProvides business and technical leadership for all major site projects at Takeda's Round Lake, IL manufacturing facility, including geographic expansions, process improvements, supplier change notices, capacity expansions and facility upgrades

oIs accountable for overall project performance including integration of project activities, liaison with senior management, R&D and other stakeholders, project resources and financial achievement;

oProvides input to the program prioritization process and participates in other key strategic business portfolio processes to ensure funding for the objective;

oMakes launch date commitments based on project complexity, business priorities, cash flow

oManages stakeholder expectations.


oManages the site s portfolio of key projects

oLeads project teams in defining program strategies, developing goals, assigning project tasks and ensures the team meets all goals

oSets the project strategy, schedules, resource alignment and financial analysis

oApproves team deliverables for project completion

oAnticipates and resolves conflict situations with a win-win outcome

oConducts monthly/quarterly project/portfolio reviews with Site Leadership.

oInteracts through program updates and reviews with all levels of management

oEscalates project risks including resource constraints, schedule slippage, risk to overall deliverables.


oMust be well versed in Project Management tools and must possess knowledge of related disciplines. PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification is preferred.

oExperience working in an FDA regulated industry is required. Must have knowledge of such principles as Good Manufacturing Practices, FDA/MOH regulations.

oMust be self-motivated

oStrong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively using a wide variety of skills and vehicles

oDemonstrated strategic leadership skills, strong financial acumen, and proficient supervisory skills

oDemonstrated ability to manage multiple cross-functional teams simultaneously - Strong track record of leading without authority.

oDemonstrated ability to design and implement projects/studies outside area of expertise.

oDemonstrated capability in analyzing and solving complex problems through innovative thought and experience

Bachelor s degree required.
10 years of product development or manufacturing experience preferred
5 years of project management experience preferred

Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 20 lbs.
In general, the position requires a combination of sedentary work and walking around observing conditions in the facility

General office environment the majority of the time, and manufacturing facility
Must be able to work outside of normal business hours to support the business
