OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE

The AGILE and Network Excellence Lead in the Biologics Operating Unit is a dynamic operations leader with demonstrated ability to understand, evaluate, and drive initiatives across a diverse technology portfolio. In partnership with the Head of Business Excellence, will develop and deploy AGILE methodologies and practices across the Biologics OpU.

  • Responsible for AGILE program facilitation across the Bio OpU, acting as a change champion within the framework of Takeda s global AGILE program and GMS/GQ strategy
  • Collation, curation, and reporting of key business intelligence (e.g. Strategic Project Performance)
  • Assist in network strategy development/deployment
  • Lead/support key initiatives

ACCOUNTABILITIES

OpU Operational Strategy/Performance

  • Leads and coaches to develop individual and organizational capabilities within Business Excellence team and the broader Bio OpU
  • Assist in network strategy development/deployment
  • Lead/support key initiatives
  • Facilitate diligence and integration activities
  • Collaborate with product teams for alignment and support of product strategy execution
  • Lead/Support value stream analysis and optimization
  • Facilitate network benchmark/POBOS/site assessments

Technical/Functional (Line) Expertise

  • Solid understanding of the role of the OpU and how it contributes to achieving the broader business objectives. Balances strategic awareness and direction setting with a focus on achieving consistent tactical results.
  • Familier with a broad range of operational exellence methodologies and their applications
  • Knowledge and experience in biopharmaceutical manufacturing
  • Strong technical operations (manufacturing, engineering, quality) experience and understanding of diverse technologies.
  • Demonstrated abilities in project/program management associated with cross-functional, global teams
  • Experience in developing and/or evaluating feasibility assessments of projects/technologies/assets - taking into account technical and business aspects.
  • Knowledge of Takeda strategy and key performance indicators with the ability to use information to monitor business performance, assess risks and recommend strategies to resolve issues and maintain performance.

  • Interfaces with all areas of leadership to ensure aligned progress and path forward. Aligns and leverages experience across OpUs.

EDUCATION, BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

Essential:

  • B.S. degree in a Technical Discipline
  • 10+ years relevant pharmaceutical industry experience
  • Strong technical operations (process development, manufacturing, engineering, quality) experience and understanding of diverse technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience and capabilities in AGILE or related operational excellence methodologies
  • High level of emotional intelligence
  • Experienced in interfacing with and managing cross-functional teams globally in a matrix environment
  • Demonstrated abilities in project/program management associated with cross-functional, global teams
  • Ability to effectively communicate and influence at all levels of the organization
  • Strong business acumen
  • Experienced in risk management processes
  • Strong project management, problem solving, decision-making, collaboration, and facilitation skills.

Preferred

  • Master s Degree, MBA, or related business degree
  • Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Change Agent (Black Belt Certification Desirable)
