Summary:

To deliver quality patient engagement and recruitment services that enable study teams to plan, forecast, remodel and deliver on patient enrollment goals, and work to broadly deploy innovative processes, methodologies, data, and technologies for future implementation

Responsibilities:

Execute and deliver day to day patient engagement and recruitment service and deliverables for clinical project teams executing phase 2 through phase 4 clinical research studies, including:

  • Early operational planning
  • Protocol synopsis feasibility assessments.
  • Site identification
  • Enrollment forecasting and modeling
  • Recruitment support strategies (e.g. central recruitment)
  • Recruitment and retention plans
  • Collaborates with Clinical Programs to deliver high quality subject recruitment and retention plans.
  • Collates and organizes data to support analysis of performance and lessons learned regarding recruitment and retention activities.
  • Utilize Recruitment Vendor Management Strategy (RVMS) principles to:
  • Execute central recruitment decisions through a quantitative framework for strategy development, vendor selection, and objective setting.
  • Optimize value and patient yield of vendor contracts
  • Attend Relationship Management Committees with recruitment vendors to assess and communicate the effectiveness of these relationships to applicable recruitment strategies.
  • Support and/or deliver evaluation and communication of financial impact of specialist vendor (recruitment and retention) and recruitment strategies to key stakeholders.
  • Support the function in deploying innovative patient engagement solutions

Recruitment and retention plans:

  • Collaborates with Clinical Programs to deliver high quality subject recruitment and retention plans.
  • Collates and organizes data to support analysis of performance and lessons learned regarding recruitment and retention activities.
  • Utilize Recruitment Vendor Management Strategy (RVMS) principles to:

Supports Project Manager and Team Lead with activities related to:

  • Process improvement and mapping
  • Training
  • Inter departmental collaboration (e.g. Compliance, Technologies)
  • Vetting new 3rd party providers or patient engagement models
  • Internal performance metrics

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor s degree is required.
  • Good working knowledge or 3 to 5 years of experience in patient engagement and recruitment discipline within a pharmaceutical company, CRO or similar organization required
  • Familiarity in developing recruitment and retention strategies as well as country/site identification and/or generation of materials and trial metrics
  • Experience or knowledge of basic trial optimization vendors, tools, and methods
  • Knowledge of current regulatory requirements and guidelines governing clinical research
