As a Sr. Finance Analyst MA Biologics Finance working on the MA Biologics Finance team, you will be empowered to support the monthly close process for manufacturing operations, and the accompanying financial reporting and analysis for the MA Biologics Operations group, and a typical day will include:


  • This Sr. Finance Analyst is primarily responsible for supporting the monthly close process for manufacturing operations, and the accompanying financial reporting and analysis for the MA Biologics Operations group.
  • The Sr. Finance Analyst will be the finance business partner to the Raw Material Value Stream of MA Biologics providing guidance on the FP&A side of the business for forecasts, budgets, and longer-term planning cycles.
  • The Sr. Finance Analyst will have a key role in cost accounting support of the SAP manufacturing module. Other responsibilities would include ad-hoc analyses as needed.


30% Month End Cost Accounting Close Responsibilities for Manufacturing Operations includes:

  • Journal entry preparation
  • Variance Analysis post close for month end reporting
  • Assist in Assessment Cycle set up and maintenance
  • Business Partnering with operational value stream colleagues for distribution of month end results

25% Support of Raw Material Value Stream

  • Act as business partner to RM Value Stream (North Reading OLT)
  • Validate new RM s for SAP usage. Partner with RM value stream early in Tech transfer process for RM set up.
  • Partner w/ local Procurement for Standard RM Pricing during Budget cycle

20% FP&A support to MA Biologics Operations

  • Act as business partner to RM Value Stream providing support and fiscal guidance for Budget, Mid-Range Plans
  • Work with Manager FP&A on consolidation and preparation of MA Biologics site scenarios
  • Support annual Cost Roll for Standard Cost in SAP

15% Ad-hoc support for other programs and responsibilities as MA Biologics site evolves in the Takeda network

10% Compliance coordination support, including SOX documentation and testing, internal and external audit support, physical inventory and cycle counts for both inventory and Fixed Assets


  • Bachelor s degree in Finance or Accounting (or country equivalent)
  • Demonstration of key finance competencies with 5+ years of relevant experience in management and cost accounting principles such as standard/absorption costing, manufacturing variances. Financial planning and analysis skills preferred
  • Good working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP system, and knowledge of financial planning/reporting tools (TM1 and HFM) or willingness to train/learn
  • Experience with annual standard costing and the cost roll process in SAP
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills or ability to apply training knowledge quickly
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Self-starter with strong analytical skills and decision-making capabilities
  • Strong interpersonal communication, collaboration, and presentation skills
  • Uses financial acumen to understand situations and recommend solutions
  • Work with Head of Finance to develop financial acumen to address more complex financial analyses
  • Part of MA Biologics Finance team
  • Business partner internally to manufacturing operations leadership
  • Potential contact with external audit teams
