As an Associate Director, HCP Marketing and Brand Manager, LSD working on the Hematology and Rare Disease team, you will be empowered to be an active member of the LSD Marketing Team and to champion the VPRIV franchise, with a focus on outreach and messaging to HCP s, and a typical day will include:

POSITION OBJECTIVES:

Build and strengthen Takeda s leadership reputation across the Lysosomal Storage Disease (LSD) and rare disease communities. Engage HCP s with innovative programming to promote our first line therapy for Type 1 Gaucher. Enhance Takeda s relationships with thought leaders and Gaucher centers of excellence across the U.S. This position reports into the U.S. LSD Marketing Lead

  • Health Care Provider (HCP) marketing background
  • Solution-oriented and well organized
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and to prioritize
  • Self-starter who functions well independently or within a team
  • Ability to develop relationships and rapport with individuals at all levels
  • Strong communication skills
  • Enthusiasm for working in a high science environment
  • Experience managing vendors and holding them to timelines and budgets
  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical legal and regulatory landscape; including Medical/Legal/Regulatory (CMLR) promotional review process
  • Digital marketing experience

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Develop message architecture and core promotional assets. Lead key campaign planning, development, execution, measurement and optimization.

  • Develop innovative omnichannel marketing programs

    Link platforms including web, email, digital adverting, and print to deliver targeted messaging to prescribing HCP s

    Enhance and nurture the customer funnel through non-personal promotion to complement field efforts

  • Identify and articulate actionable customer insights, establish customer profile, develop customer journey, set desired customer behavioral objectives.
    Organize impactful advisory boards. Gather insights to inform the franchise on the evolving perceptions and needs from key customer groups including:

    Prescribing HCP s

    Genetic counselors

    Patients and caregivers

    Front line, diagnosing HCP s

  • Develop content and deliver training to field sales

    Collaborate with Market Access / Value Strategy to develop modules to enable the field team to compliantly navigate the payor landscape

    Work with the Medical and Learning & Development teams to create training modules to expand the field s clinical acumen

  • Proactively monitor customer and market trends, competitive pipeline and integrate learning and insights into situation analysis

  • Chair the Field Advisory Board

    Organize and conduct monthly advisory meetings with Field members

    Maintain and continually prioritize the marketing assets development pipeline

  • Manage impactful speaker, ambassador, and mentor programs

    Oversee agency execution of programs

    Creation of new speaker decks and coordinate speaker training

    Author annual plan and needs assessment; contract speakers

  • Facilitate overall brand planning process, leading cross-functional team through key brand planning milestones
  • Champion LSD activities at congresses and symposia

    Direct cross functional efforts at national and regional medical meetings

    Coordinate design of booth and materials for meetings including, WORLDSymposium and ACMG

EDUCATION, BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor s degree, MBA is a plus
  • Minimum (7) + years of experience in multi-channel marketing and / or brand management including Brand Planning
  • Experience in marketing strategy and tactic design with an ability to communicate ideas to internal partners and external agencies
  • Ability to understand and leverage analytics to optimize execution and generate actionable insights
  • Relevant background in pharmaceutical marketing, medical device marketing, sales, pharma consulting, market research, or creative/communications agency.
  • Agency management experience (briefing/execution/budgetary oversight)
  • Knowledge and experience of working in a Marketing role within the Rare/Orphan disease space an advantage

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Expect ~10-25% travel
