The Senior Research Associate/Research Associate, Automation & Technologies, Cell Therapy position will play an important role in evaluating and developing technologies and methods to automate and streamline the cellular therapy production process. Execute basic/routine experiments under limited supervision. Work with supervisor as appropriate to plan and execute specialized/complex experiments. Help to prepare study protocols and reports. Presents study results at team or department meetings.


oWorks with departmental and/or cross functional peers to execute on assignments, under limited supervision.

oContributes significantly to project work which may include multiple projects within functional area.

oReviews, interprets and communicates data internally (e.g., to supervisor, project teams) and assists in preparing technical reports.

oProposes and implements resolutions to technical problems/issues

oAssists with the development of project strategy and communicates data/decisions within department and cross functionally as necessary

oCoordinates within departmental as well as cross functionally with peers on project work


Education and Experience:

To Be Considered for the Senior Research Associate Level:

oBachelor s degree in chemistry, biology, pharmacy, engineering or related pharmaceutical science; 3-5 years relevant industry experience

oMaster s degree in biology, engineering or related pharmaceutical science; 0-3 years relevant industry experience

oPrevious experience working in lab setting

To Be Considered for the Research Associate Level:

oBachelor s degree in biology, engineering or related pharmaceutical science; 0-3 years relevant industry experience

oPrevious experience working in lab setting

Knowledge and Skills:

oAnalytical and Problem-Solving Skills - Able to troubleshoot critical issues or problems and determine causes and possible solutions using appropriate information

oTeamwork- Ability to work well in a highly cross-functional team environment

oCommunication- Able to expresses one s self clearly and concisely within team; timely and effectively communicates issues to supervisor; technical writing skills to support contributing to internal technical document.

oOrganization- Exercises good time management and prioritization skills

oTechnical - Proficiency in use of applicable lab equipment and operations


Cell Therapies:

oMust have experience in principles and practices of cellular immunology and/or stem cell biology, including cell culture, cell transfection and transduction, execution of functional in vitro methods relevant for various types of immune cells and/or stem cells.

oBenefit to have experience in developing cell therapy or biological products, scale-up manufacturing processes

oBenefit to have knowledge of and hands-on experience on automated Cell Therapy processing tools
