As an Advisory, Ethics and Compliance, Global Oncology working on the Ethics & Compliance, Global Oncology team, you will be empowered to embed ethics and compliance. In this role, you will contribute to Takeda s mission by acting as role model for Takeda's values, ethics and values-based decision-making. A typical day will include:

POSITION OBJECTIVES:

Ethics & Compliance (E&C) focuses on what the organization needs by ensuring

E&C commits to

  • Collaborate across all E&C teams and partner with stakeholders in BU / BF to embed ethics and compliance as part of the way everyone works at Takeda

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Provide proactive business engagement and support to commercial, medical, or other relevant functions
  • Assist with the evolution and development of support to ex-US OBU businesses (i.e., Eucan OBU), including closer liaison with LOC E&C colleagues, ensuring alignment and consistency in advisory support across all ex-US territories
  • Provide dedicated support to OBU groups that engage patients and patient organizations as a core part of their role, including Patient Advocacy and Corporate Communications
  • Assist with the creation and implementation of a field-engagement awareness and monitoring plan
  • Increase business acumen by obtaining therapeutic and product knowledge to support current and pipeline products
  • Provide input into global E&C Policies/SOPs, initiatives or programs as relevant and interface with other E&C teams for OBU support
  • Support OBU in shaping the organizational mindset around the PTRB (Patient-Trust-Reputation-Business)-Model to firmly embed ethical decision-making principles
  • External facing - align OBU Advisory engagement with evolving Ethics & Compliance trends (PhRMA, OIG, DOJ, SEC, PCF)

EDUCATION, BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

  • Proven experience in healthcare and healthcare compliance - 8 years and more preferred
  • Minimum 5 years compliance experience, obtained preferably and primarily in the advisory area
  • While specific compliance advisory experience is strongly preferred, substantive experience gained in a legal role(s) where the handling of compliance-related matters form part of such role(s) would also be considered
  • Strong understanding of US pharma market - minimum 3-5 years US pharma experience
  • Working knowledge of ex-US pharma strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of key laws, regulations and industry best practice standards
  • Experience in aligning potential, present and future compliance risks related to the business, including risk identification, controls & risk mitigation of potential non-compliance
  • Deep insights into ethical business decision making and very strong stakeholder-facing interactions and informal leadership abilities
