As a Senior Manager Manufacturing and Supply Operations Cell Therapies working on the Research and Development team, you will be empowered to work closely with Business Partners to support and deliver system solutions to the Business, in the area of IT Manufacturing and Supply-Chain. A typical will include:


The role will have direct responsibility to set the manufacturing supply strategy for the newly established cell therapy cGMP facility at Takeda. The position will also have responsibility to implement the relevant IT platforms for various modalities like inventory management as well as managing the warehousing operations to ensure optimal utilization of resources.


  • Work closely with Business Partners to support and deliver system solutions to the Business, in the area of IT Manufacturing and Supply-Chain
  • Provide technical/functional support and analyze Manufacturing & Supply Chain systems to recommend improved effectiveness and efficiency
  • Configure and maintain supply chain platforms including managing Inventory, Bills of Material, Process manufacturing and Order Management systems
  • Responsible for meeting supply requirements while balancing facility and resource capacity utilization
  • Coordinate with vendors to ensure proper supply of make-to-order raw materials
  • Experience in developing and implementing global supply chain processes
  • Manage warehouse, receiving dock, shipping, and kitting and dispensing suites
  • Responsible for maintaining and training operators on MES and electronic batch record platforms
  • Continually define and review planning and inventory strategy to support applicable sites


  • Bachelor s degree in Life Sciences, Supply Chain Management, or Engineering. MBA or advanced degree, diploma, or certification in Supply Chain Management strongly preferred
  • 10+ years of related experience in biopharmaceutical manufacturing or supply chain for a reputable global Pharmaceutical or related company.
  • Knowledge of/exposure to world-class planning and execution processes, preferably supported by ERP and Advanced Planning Systems
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a leader of cross-functional teams and/or managing staff
  • Demonstrated knowledge of matrix team management
  • Strong leadership and an innate ability to collaborate and build relationships is critical
  • Flexible and comfortable working with ambiguity
  • Ability to problem-solve and work in complex environment
  • Good understanding of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and other regulatory requirements (EMA, TGA)
  • Experience in developing and implementing global supply chain processes

  • Communication - Able to expresses one s self clearly and concisely within team; documents issues and/or concerns concisely with colleagues; timely and effectively communicates issues to supervisor
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills - Able to troubleshoot critical issues or problems and determine causes and possible solutions using appropriate information
  • Organization Exercises good time management and prioritization skills and can successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Motivated Self-motivated and willing to accept temporary responsibilities outside of initial job description
