Job Description

The Supply Chain Capability function supports the establishment of sustainable consistent and strong Supply Chain Capability building by establishing the Capability Building approach, platform, and coordination among Business Process Owners, internal customers and functions involved.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Leads the definition of the Supply Chain (SC) capability building framework and structure
  • Coordinate capability building strategy and deployment with peers stakeholders and project teams
  • Ensure continuous update and improvement of the Supply Chain capability building framework
  • Secure understanding and fulfilling of the needs of various plants/functions
  • Execute and/or coordinate delivery of training as needed
  • Set-up and maintenance of capability building material repository/platform
  • Partner with ISIT to define and develop capability building digital development in the context of Global Supply Chain digital roadmap
  • Lead complex initiatives and projects with matrix organization in the area of capability building
  • Manage senior Stakeholders driving though/sensitive discussiong leveraging on soft skills and own network
  • Create best practice sharing/systems and supply chain network as well as SC communities of practice
  • Supporting teams development and hiring of new team members

DIMENSIONS AND ASPECTS

Technical/Functional (Line) Expertise

  • Broad understanding of Supply Chain
  • Solid experience in SAP, APO, and BI
  • Experience with complex decision and planning processes
  • Experience in Value Stream Mapping / End to End (E2E) value streams
  • Deep experience with capability building
  • Holistic understanding of Supply Chain in its various aspects
  • Lean Six Sigma Education is preferable

Leadership

  • Proactive and able to handle complexity within a matrix environment
  • Ability to present, teach coach and mentor team members across a broad network of sites
  • Ability to work in team and to value diversity, mentoring less experienced colleagues
  • Ability to balance in depth technical knowledge with having an holistic view
  • Strong ethics and integrity

Decision-making and Autonomy

  • Able to lead the team and to manage consultant supporting the team, including their spending vs budget

  • Able to interact with senior stakeholders and aware/adaptive of/to cultural differences

  • Agility in balancing level of details and clarity of communication

EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

  • Education: University degree (BSc, MSc or similar) in a relevant area Supply Chain, Engineering, Management or IT
  • Minimum years of experience: 12
  • Pharmaceutical experience is preferable
  • Prior work experience: Relevant experience and understanding of Supply Chain processes and requirements in an international environment with coordination of cross-functional projects
  • Lean Six Sigma Education is preferable
  • Fluent in English both verbally and in writing is required
  • Other relevant languages are a plus
  • All applicants must hold a Swiss Work Permit or an EU Passport
