The Senior Manager, Medical Communications Oncology, will develop and execute against the Medical Communications strategic and tactical components of the brand plan. The incumbent will actively participate in strategic planning and ongoing tactical management of the business as a key member of the brand team and the medical affairs team.
Plan and implement the Medical Communications and Education Program Plan in the Oncology space (myeloma & lung cancer) that is aligned with the corporate vision and goals.
Support the following key areas of activities:
Assist with managing the budget related to medical education and communications programs to ensure efficient use and tracking, and provide timely reports.
Collaborate with external industry and academic partners, educational partners, and organizations to develop and implement strategic and innovative customer and patient focused programs related to Oncology that will maximize impact and credibility of Takeda s medical educational and communication initiatives.
Through customer insights, provide strategic direction for medical learning and communication activities, conduct needs assessments, do post program analysis and report on outcomes.
Provide timely communication to Oncology field team.
Ensure compliance with Canadian guidelines and standards from external accreditation committees and other healthcare professional education accrediting bodies, industry organizations (RX&D), PAAB, Takeda s Ethics and Compliance Department and Health Canada Policy.
Manage special projects as needed.

Medical Education planning and implementation process
Proven vendor and/or project management experience
Education and Experience
minimum 5 years of pharmaceutical industry experience
MSc., BSc, or a degree in an applied health science
Experience in the area of Oncology (myeloma and/or lung cancer) preferred
Willingness to travel to various meetings or client sites, including overnight trips. Some international travel may be required.
