As a Scientist-Polymers andBiomaterial working on the Material and Innovation team, you will be empowered to provide theoretical/conceptual input to the design, development and execution of research assignments for specific projects and for independently planning and executing unit operation characterization and optimization experiments within expertise and develops an awareness of unit operations in other areas. A typical day will include:
Proactively involves in the design and synthesis of new materials including polymers to support various cross-functional therapeutic areas of research.
Generate new ideas and obtain proof of concept with in vitro and in vivo data; accountable for the completion of discovery and incubation stage projects.
Identify biocompatible biomaterials through in vitro and in vivo studies, design and prepare prototypes for the pre-clinical and clinical studies.

POSITION OBJECTIVES:

This person will be responsible for significant or sole technical leadership within project or complex study. Prepares technology transfer documentation and regulatory documents or coordinates with team members to ensure execution

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Proactively involves in the design and synthesis of new materials including polymers to support various cross-functional therapeutic areas of research.
  • Generate new ideas and obtain proof of concept with in vitro and in vivo data; accountable for the completion of discovery and incubation stage projects.
  • Collaborate with internal stake holders and external partners for the completion of feasibility studies.
  • Identify biocompatible biomaterials through in vitro and in vivo studies, design and prepare prototypes for the pre-clinical and clinical studies.

Bachelor s, Master s or PhD degree inchemistry, polymer chemistry, engineering or related pharmaceutical science.

Experience designing and synthesizing new materials for new therapeutic modalities, drug targeting and delivery to specific organs.

Experience working with polymers with emphasis of medical applications.

Background in chemistry/polymer chemistry preferred
