-Contributes to a sustainable Functional & Regional Organization in terms of design, global alignment and enhancement of the IS/IT organisation
-Supports Head of MSCQH / Regional CIO on the implementations of global IS/IT policies, decisions and projects
-Persuades and influences the MSCQH-Asia organisations on implementations whilst ensuring global and process harmonization and effectiveness
-Translates complex and abstract IT and business objectives into single objectives in order to execute IT strategies effectively
-Analyses complex problems requiring broad-bases solutions within the Asian organisations and develops directions of solutions and actions on IS/IT projects, policies, finance and human resources.
-Ensures alignment between Global & Regional IT Strategy and provides input and direction to the development and implementation of the global IT strategy via Head of MSCQH / Regional CIO
-Defines and drives priorities, aligns stakeholder expectations, and develops and executes an associated plan of action on at least finance and human resources
-Develops and aligns key performance measures & activities for KPI and producing periodic reports, analysis, in depth analyses and proposals for improvement
-Develops and manages talent acquisition and development planning within the MSCQH-Asia organisations
-Advises the Head of MSCQH / Regional CIO on remediation activities identifies and reports gaps against the targets and proposes interventions
-Supports / contributes to complex, mission-critical strategic projects in close partnership with cross functional teams end to end
-Establishes and maintains governance structures internally within the Region and Function
-Acts as the senior point of escalation for the IT Business Relationship Managers to the counterpart escalation point where necessary.
-Develops mentors, coaches, provides guidance and directions on problems and issues in finance, human resources and project implementations
-Develops and maintains effective and strong collaborative relationships with IT leaders across the global IS/IT organization
-Participates in MSCQH / Regional CIO leadership team.
-Becomes an extended member of regional operating teams to gain a deep understanding of the business
-May be regarded as an expert and person to-go-to across the MSCOH-Asia organisations on finance, human resources and project implementations, understands cultural differences and is able to translate these into acceptable and working solutions
EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
-Higher University Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
-More than 8 years of relevant and extensive experiences within a global organisation and specific in the translation/alignment of global developments and decisions into different Asian cultures
-Previous leadership experience
-Relationship management and the experience to influence skills and engage colleagues with different expertise and cultural backgrounds
-Project management experience, including management of one full lifecycle of a major application implementation
-Ability to work in a matrix environment by aligning, adapting and collaborating with virtual teams situated in multiple countries, with different work, culture and communication styles
-Ability to communicate ideas and data both verbally and written in a persuasive and appropriate manner both in English and Japanese
-Ability to set priorities and manage staff, having a clear understanding of setting and monitoring objectives aligned with company goals and values
-Ability to assess strengths and weaknesses of staff members and provide suggestions for improvement
-Pharmaceutical industry experience
-PMI or equivalent
-International Travel will be required
-Willingness to travel up to 15%
