Takeda's summer internship program blends real world experience with an extensive overview of the pharmaceutical industry. Knowledgeable mentors will provide guidance as you gain professional hands-on experience.
The summer internship program is 12 weeks in length and offers a unique perspective into a world-class pharmaceutical company. Compensation is competitive, and financed temporary housing is available to those who qualify. Our internship program also provides you the opportunity to network with people at Takeda through various planned events and activities.
The Intern working with the Business Continuity and Change Management/Communications group will collaborate with GRA team members to support vendor management and related business continuity activities as well as develop, create and execute communication projects, determining the appropriate venue/format for the dissemination for information tied to GRA s transformation and inform key audiences throughout the change.
  • Maintain collaboration site tracking progress of job and knowledge transfer connected to the transformation.
  • Maintain business continuity workstream collaboration sites.
  • Coordinate monthly workstream status reporting collection and collation for submission to Director of Business Continuity.
  • In collaboration with the team, identify new, innovative project management tools, business processes and communications vehicles to improve how we work within the partnership model.
  • Working with the team, ensure appropriate and timely flow of business critical information and leverage vehicles such as websites, webcasts, web chats, e-newsletters and/or shared collaborative sites to convey information and open a dialogue among the team.
  • Serve as a support on the GRA organizational change management team.
  • Translate technical information into a format that is understandable and user-friendly for all staff, thus enhancing communication usage among the stakeholders.
  • In partnership with leadership and team members, continue to grow the use of digital communications to connect the Global Regulatory Affairs Organization.
  • Understands the various roles, processes and industry standards involved in providing regulatory information in the pharmaceutical industry setting.
  • Develop knowledge of other roles and functions that qualified professionals have in Regulatory Affairs and other departments within Takeda.
  • Prepare presentation of RA Internship learnings and present to the Regulatory Affairs Department.


  • Applicants must be enrolled in a U.S. accredited university for the semester before and immediately following the internship.
  • Candidate must have completed junior year
  • Must be pursuing a Bachelors Degree or MBA/Masters Degree; preferably MBA/Masters degree
  • Area of study in Communications, Business Administration or studying for MBA in Project Management
  • Proficient in each of the following MS Office applications:
    • MS Outlook
    • MS Word
    • MS Excel
    • MS PowerPoint
  • Previous internship experience in communications or project management field is preferred, but not required.
  • Ideally, the candidate has completed his/her junior year of undergraduate study.
  • Strong technical writing skills are valuable, and an ability to understand and simplify complex ideas will be important.
  • An interest/specialty in project management, change management and communications.
  • The ideal candidate exhibits strong analytical, problem-solving, and oral and written communication skills; he or she also possesses the ability to works well in teams, effectively manage multiple projects, and present ideas clearly and concisely.

May work on the computer for several hours at a time.

Local travel may be required based on business needs.
