Please note that the requirements specified in this posting are the basic qualifications required for the Scientist I position; however, job title will be dependent on the candidate's level of experience in those requirements.
OBJECTIVES:

To establish antibody analysis methodologies for antibody evaluation, optimization, and lead antibody selection.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

To develop and implement biochemical and biophysical assays for therapeutic antibody candidate screening and selection. The assayed antibody properties included stability, aggregation status, target binding, as well as non-specific interactions among others. The individual is expected to keep abreast of state-of-the-art antibody analytical technologies, and be innovative in development of effective and robust antibody screening assays. As an integral part of biotherapeutics drug discovery teams, this individual will work closely with colleagues from other functions, and participate in study design and project prioritization.

Qualifications
EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry or other allied disciplines, and at least three years of hands-on experience in antibody analysis, preferably in pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. A successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual who is knowledgeable in protein chemistry and analytical techniques including protein gel-electrophoresis, column chromatography, SPR-based protein-protein interaction analysis, as well as other novel technologies for protein/antibody characterization. It is important to have a strong track record in development and implementation of novel assays for antibody screening. Experience in protein mass spectrometry is a plus. Strong communication and organizational skills are also critical
