The Compliance Auditing Specialist will be responsible for performing auditing and monitoring activities of field-based expense reports entered into the Concur expense reporting system. The Compliance Auditing Specialist must be able to understand the operational parameters and environment, and be able to provide thought leadership and insights in a proactive manner. The candidate will have regular interactions with various client team members within the Sales Operations department of Selling Solutions. Candidate should be comfortable working in an environment which is driven by process governance and client business rules to ensure consistency and efficiency across client implementations and ongoing auditing and monitoring activities.
This is an internal temp to hire position - temp period will last approximately 6 months.

Job Responsibilities:

(Duties may include, but not limited to all or some of the following)

  • Follow applicable SOP s, work instructions, and reporting requirements in accordance with the Syneos Health Selling Solutions Commercial Compliance guidelines and client business rules.
  • Support the assigned projects with timely completion of day to day administrative tasks for the various business lines to include Sales Teams, Nurse Teams, and Medical Science Liaisons.
  • Coordinate with field-based employees via email or the applicable Operations Manager to assist in resolving expense report issues in Concur and escalate identified potential concerns in a timely manner for appropriate follow-up.
  • Generate/review and distribute reports per client contract requirements.
  • Work independently to document monitoring and auditing process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation including scope documents.
  • Participate in meetings and conference calls, as required by supervisor.
  • Effectively review and present analysis/findings with internal team members.
  • Partner with internal team members, clients and Concur resources to effectively monitor timelines and manage expense reporting deliverables.
  • Work with Project Operations personnel in coordination with Analytics & Reporting, Quality Assurance and Compliance to understand and monitor audit guidelines.
  • Other duties as applicable to your assigned projects or departmental needs.

Job Requirements

Along with demonstrated initiative, uncompromised integrity and a results-oriented mindset, the ideal candidate has:

  • High School diploma required; Associates or above highly preferred
  • Travel and Expense Management Experience Preferred
  • Experience in accounting-related position
  • 2+ Years of experience in working with data management teams for the pharmaceutical sales and marketing industry


  • Ability to perform day-to-day functions with limited supervision;
  • Ability to interact comfortably with individuals from various business units
  • Detail oriented and with excellent analytical, planning and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to problem-solve, provide clear guidance and documentation on resolving issues
  • Strong computer skills, particularly Excel
