The Key Account Director will be directly be responsible for the time sensitive channel development and implementation of the coverage and reimbursement strategy that will maximize patient access to Product(s) pre and post transition by minimizing reimbursement barriers or gaps associated with the transition of payor customer Account Manager Coverage. The candidate will work to maintain patient access and find new potential market access points. This role is critical and time sensitive in the Product (s) transition pre and post launch strategy with a marketing plan for all payer groups including commercial insurers, health plans, IDNs federal and state government payers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Past experience and successful track record developing and managing top National and Regional Accounts
  • Proven credibility in gaining access to key decision makers and influencers with time efficiency within the targeted Plans for heading off or putting forward changes
  • Lead and develop the short and long term managed market initiatives to a high level of achievement
  • Provide leadership, management and supervision in developing the reimbursement strategy and plan including payer segmentation, pricing strategy and targeting in all managed markets including commercial MCO s, Medicare Part D, State Medicaid, pharmacy chains, key hospital systems, FSS and Governmental Affairs.
  • Identify and utilize the resources needed to monitor managed market trends and market dynamics
  • Work collaboratively with sales, marketing, trade and medical affairs to develop the payer marketing strategy based on market research and market dynamics
  • Communicate effectively with the commercial team on managed market trends
  • Provide guidance on overall market strategy for provider and patient marketing
  • Provide recommendations for contract strategy, contract compliance, development, analysis, execution and ongoing tracking and management of contracts for government and commercial payers, insurers including ROI assessments and scenario planning.
  • Oversee the build out of a national account team capable of developing and maintaining strong relations with payers and trade customers
  • Ensure the team operates in full compliance of company policies and corporate governance
  • Up to 50% travel required

  • Bachelor s Degree Minimum MBA Preferred
  • 10+ Years Medical device / Life Sciences industry experience, Neuro experience is preferred
  • 5+ Years developing and managing Managed Market channel relationships
  • Proven launch experience, thrill of being in a hands on impact role
  • Proven operational leadership developing managed market initiatives, start-up experience is a plus
  • Proven creditability in gaining access to key decision makers and influencers
  • Proven experience working as a strategic partner to the C-Suite management team
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
