This position champions innovation thinking and doing while helping coordinate the day-to-day of a team charged with a shared accountability to increase the number of innovative and celebrated new ideas coming from the agencies.

This position has 5 key areas of focus:

Help build & facilitate workshops:

Uncover clues and find inspiration to develop specific exercises with directors and associate directors. Nail all the details and maintain a big picture view of the full program. Facilitate breakout groups and mini-workshops as needed.

Manage Team Operations:

Support the larger team by keeping master calendars and resource lists, facilitating status meetings, keeping jobs on time and target, and flagging new needs as they arise

Co-create and monitor large project plans, including timelines, continued progress, and budgets to ensure targets and end deliverables are met.

Conduct and Support Ongoing Research:

Research, curate, and analyze a stream of relevant news and media to help team develop actionable insights. Build and manage our research repository, ensuring it is designed to be easily picked up to use within any project.

Identify trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements to keep our team and overall organization on top of real world events.

Earn new advocates:

Work with our Marketing colleagues to drive the Innovation team s content marketing (social media / community management, email newsletters, blog posts, sponsored content opportunities, etc.). Actively build internal relationships to draw more fans to the team.

  • Starts each day with a quick team collaboration to identify opportunities and priorities
  • Drives status meetings, weekly team hot sheet, and tracks resources/unmet needs
  • Participates in the development of exercises, workshops and other content
  • Curates initial raw clues and analog sets to accelerate projects including workshop exercises and other innovation opportunities
  • Facilitates specific parts of workshops and/or brainstorms
  • Manages the logistics and details of team projects, including internal and external workstreams
  • Partners with colleagues to create and curate opportunity-specific content and presentations
  • Writes a weekly post for our team s HXP blog
  • Manages and curates our library of idea and pitch content
  • Collaborates with team to develop major publications on trends and new opportunities
  • Adds to this list

Job Requirements

Some experience in roles that require social promotion and writing, strategic thinking and relationship building (typically looking for candidates who have minimum of 4 years of experience, but flexible for the people who have the right skills)

Strong writing, synthesizing and presentation skills

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Ability/willingness to travel on occasion
