Responsibilities

The Field Reimbursement Manager will work closely with the field sales team to execute reimbursement tactics for current and future products in physician offices. This includes all aspects of explaining billing, coverage, coding, payment, and provider access within hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers and the physician offices. This position will be a field-based expert on billing issues at providers and will coordinate field strategies to maximize market access to products.

Primary responsibilities include delivering billing information and assisting customers with execution of the billing and claims process for products in the customer offices. The position typically requires at least 50% travel, but may be as much as 75% travel.

Provide information to support all billing and reimbursement functions related to products to customer offices.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with customer office billing personnel to facilitate reimbursement for company products.
  • Deliver accurate billing and coding information to all finance/billing personnel in customer facilities.
  • Provide strategic support to current customers to resolve coverage denials and/or empower improved contract negotiations to facilitate economically viable payment
  • Assist with EOB assessment of problem claims and offer guidance to offices on appeals, resubmission of claims and other approved tactics.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of regional and local reimbursement coverage issues through payor research and the Regional Reimbursement Director [RRD].
  • Provide internal and external recommendations regarding coding for related services consistent with market approval processes.

Collaborate with RRDs and sales team, when directed by RRD, to drive successful claim processes.

  • Provide market feedback to RRD on customer business trends, competitive updates and industry issues and opportunities
  • Participate in regional and national sales meetings and local/regional marketing events as directed by RRD

Other Responsibilities

  • Adhere to Corporate Compliance programs and successfully participate in training and continuing education programs
  • May be assigned additional responsibilities based upon organizational needs

Job Requirements

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strongly prefer CPC/RMC certification preference given to current CPC/RMC candidates
  • Other billing/reimbursement/coding certifications also accepted

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in provider relations; preferred within medical device or pharmaceutical sector
  • CPC strongly preferred
  • Coding, coverage and reimbursement experience within medical device or biotechnology industry
  • Strong understanding of Medicare Part A, B and D and legislative policy issues that relate to reimbursement
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time
