This position is primarily responsible for the acquisition of new customers, through the successful attainment of insurance based sales, in a contact center environment. Candidates are expected to service customers through an omni-channel approach, while achieving key performance indicators such as: conversion rate of leads to sales; call quality/compliance; and the timely and accurate resolution of customer transactions. The candidate best suited for this role must be able to maximize each sales opportunity, through the thorough assessment of the customer's needs and the strategic recommendation of available products. This candidate should also display robust customer service skills, excel in product knowledge and client education, and possess the ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Responsible for the acquisition of new client sales, through the leads generated by potential client responses to promotional materials, web based marketing, and telephonic campaigns
  • Handles customer service/sales inquiries via telephone (inbound and outbound), email, and digital channels
  • Maintains all departmental metrics such as: timely inquiry resolution, call quality/compliance, call documentation, etc.
  • Educates clients on available insurance products and services Ensures clients are informed of relevant legislative and regulatory issues, and their associated impact
  • Facilitates the enrollment process for new individual sales and renewing customers
  • Provides guidance to potential clients on the utilization of
  • Ensures applications are complete, filed timely, and meet all regulatory requirements
  • Represents the company in a professional and courteous manner at all times
  • Participates in ongoing sales training to enhance skills and to keep abreast of changes
  • Takes direction from Contact Center leadership team, and collaborates effectively with team members
  • Maintains all applicable certifications and licensing needed to participate in Commercial and Medicare sales
  • Other assignments or responsibilities as assigned


  • BA/BS preferred but not required
  • Active Health and/orLife Insurance Licensepreferred
  • Applicant must sign an Employee Confidentiality, Non-Competition and Non-Solicitation Agreement

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. A positive attitude is a must!
  • 2-4 years of Sales and/or Customer Service experience - Call Center environment preferred
  • 1-3 years of Insurance experience - Medicare a plus
  • Ability to multi-task, while servicing customers with telephonic inquiries
  • Excellent communication skills: oral, written, and presentation
  • A commitment to dealing with customers and team members with the utmost integrity
  • Ability to problem-solve and effectively complete tasks, with minimal oversight
  • Dedication to educating customers and servicing their insurance needs
  • The ability to empathize with customers, and tailor communication style based on the individual's needs Highly organized and detail oriented, with the ability to effectively manage individual workload
  • High level of computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to work well within a team environment, while supporting organizational goals
  • Must remain flexible to meet the needs of the business, including hours of operation and task assignment
  • Spanish Bi-lingual - Preferred
