Here at ProClinical we are recruiting for a Manufacturing Scientist to work at one of the largest global pharmaceutical companies at their site in the UK. This company is committed to developing high-quality medicine to meet real-world problems.

Job Role:

This Manufacturing Scientist role will be one of six Scientists in a team that will be split in to pairs. The scientific role is based within a manufacturing plant providing support to the manufacturing process which is recovery of active ingredient from fermentation broth with no lab based work. Intermediate stage of the process, not finished products, and so should be used to working with (or happy to work with) multiple projects. The Manufacturing Scientist will be dealing with purification / extraction from bulk, and will not be operating the plant but will be expected to work with the operators and coach in processes, looking at deviations, change control for continuous improvement.

Job Requirements:

  • Biochem / Chemistry background preferred 
  • Pharmaceutical background preferred, however candidates from other backgrounds will be considered if they have a strong understanding and level of compliance. 
  • Cross functional working with other members of the site including engineers, QC, QA etc and so good communication skills are essential.
