This Regional Marketer - Melanoma (RM) role will cover the Western US geography and can live near any major airport within the geography.
This RM role is a commercial field-based member of the Melanoma Brand Team. The RM is responsible for engaging melanoma Medical Experts within assigned geography. This person works closely with Brand team colleagues as well as other key stakeholders. The RM would support the Brand team on marketing projects and would be fully accountable for identified marketing projects.
Medical Expert Engagement
Collaborate with other cross functional partners who also interact with national and regional Melanoma Medical Experts Act as a primary point of contact for Medical Experts with the commercial side of the Novartis organization Lead set up of Medical Expert engagements with Novartis colleagues during medical conferences Inform Melanoma medical experts regarding brand priorities.
Take full accountability for executing designated marketing projects, as driven by needs of the brand team Support the Brand team on other marketing projects involving input from Medical Experts Support the Brand team on peer to peer initiatives including identification of speakers, assessment and development of speakers and creation of speaker decks in accordance with policy
Maintain a thorough understanding of brand strategy and key business drivers Stay abreast of competitive environment and treatment paradigms Attend local, regional and national medical meetings where melanoma content is being presented Participate in special projects and perform other duties, as requested 50-60% business travel required

BA/BS required; advanced degree preferred
Pharmaceutical sales experience required
Sales management or account management required for an AD level position, field sales experience required for a Sr. Manager position.
Position will be filled at level commensurate with experience.
BA/BS required; advanced degree (PhD, MBA, MS, MD) preferred
Pharmaceutical sales experience required; 3+ years of sales management or account management preferred
5+ years of Oncology experience required
Experience engaging with Medical Experts required
Marketing experience preferred
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Self-starter with a strong track record of success
Strong project management expertise and the ability to exercise informal leadership across matrix teams and vendor partners
