This person will functionally lead across Commercial Operations BU.
The incumbent will lead a portfolio of projects for Cell & Gene Therapies, by coordinating cross-functionally across IT, supply chain, medical affairs and commercial. The candidate will work very closely with the executive team to deliver our commercial and supply chain solution, on time and on budget, for both commercial & medical affairs, worldwide.
Primary responsibility will focus upon the overall success of our Cell & Gene customer experience, as well as setting and executing its strategy and operational delivery. This will require the development of a solution that covers an end-end business and technology solution that encompasses Commercial, IT, Finance, Medical Affairs. The incumbent will over-see major cross-functional efforts that pulls together team members from department s such as commercial, supply chain, manufacturing, finance, medical affairs and IT.
The successful applicant work with senior leadership to align and deliver upon business solution strategy, roadmap and milestones. It will be essential to lead in a highly matrixed organization and present demonstrated experience in this arena.
You will prioritize and allocate resources against an array of simultaneously running projects, from driving build-buy-partner decisions (with appropriate analysis to match) along with bringing major new features all the way from conception to market and into ongoing maintenance.

Collaborates with IT, Commercial, Supply Chain & Manufacturing leads to gain and understanding of business, technical & operational end user requirements, to help define & deliver a strategy for designing end user solutions.
Represents end user requirements with inputs from business to influence and persuade to ensure joint alignment of needs and goals.
Develops the strategy that delivers the business process design and enterprise technology solutions to enable the right people, to do the right things, in an adaptable and change ready way.
Define the structure, navigation and functionality of digital products to support a customer s path through a system and ensure satisfying interactions and an overall experience that transforms customers into advocates.
Customer concept design:
The Commercial Project leader will develop the initial big picture or macro design. It shows us what problems the product will solve, how it will solve them, and what it will feel like as it is solving them. Following this, the candidate will drill down to the detailed design phase, where the candidate has the capacity to lead the team to the reality phase where we build mathematically correct virtual models.
Planning: Leads the cross-functional team (IT, Supply chain, Commercial & Medical Affairs) to define the goals of the project and set specific milestones. Each element is assigned timelines, while held accountable for on-time delivery.
Monitoring: The candidate will provide cross-functional oversight allowing project team members to execute in a timely fashion. These resources maybe direct or indirect for the project, and may include third party vendor management.
Providing direction: Resolving conflicts between project priorities and managing trade-offs.
Allocation of resources: Deployment of resources & making tradeoffs between, people, time and investment in order to keep the overall strategy on track.
Report and mitigate technical constraints: Risks & opportunities clearly & succinctly for easy understand with recommendations for resolution.
Collaboration & Leadership
Leads a highly matrixed, cross-functional, cross-country team to deliver innovative technology solutions, with a strong supply chain, IT and manufacturing component, on time & on budget, with internal and external stakeholders , to deliver innovative business and technology solutions.
Partners with IT, Medical Affairs, Commercial and Supply Chain (and third party vendors) to create a scalable, sustainable and compliant platform to drive market share and competitiveness.
Know-How: Candidate must be able to demonstrate strong project management capabilities, with a broad range of examples of leading complex, highly matrixed and high profile projects, with a strong IT or technology theme.
Decision making: Incumbent will be responsible for >$30m project budget and will need to prioritize sub-project workflow in order to meet short and long term goals for a multi-billion dollar franchise.
Influence: Must be able to influence across divisions, functions and geographies and be adept at leading in a heavily matrixed organization

Bachelor s degree in IT with an MBA as a minimum.
Languages:English at a minimum.
More than 15 years leadership experience
Project Management background likely to be as important as an IT background.
Experience in commercial IT strategy development & operational deployment.
Startup mentality with the ability to develop crisp, intuitive & functional user interfaces/experiences.
Experience in executing all design stages from concept development to final hand off.
Up to date with UI trends & techniques & technologies.
High learning agility with the ability to transcend seamlessly between different stakeholders.
Required to travel up to 25%.
