The job will lead social media strategies and tactics supporting franchises and brands in disseminating product/franchise/Novartis franchise key messages to target external audiences including patients and caregivers and physicians. Significant interaction with internal and external stakeholders (marketing teams, agencies, franchise business partners, patient advocacy and patient assistance, paid social, Social Media Hub and other cross divisional teams), reporting to the US Pharma Social Media, Lead.
Responsible for the generation and delivery of innovative Social and Digital Media external programs which may include content, channel, engagement and metrics strategies. .
Strategic communications partnering and counsel - Support the development and implementation of a communications strategy to support the company s US Pharma business and employee engagement goals, major initiatives and brands, and measure effectiveness of efforts.
Issues management and change communications- Develop and implement strategic communications plans to address business issues or change management initiatives impacting the business that minimizes disruption, supports quick uptake and protect Company reputation
Global Stakeholder Collaboration- Understand the global Novartis organization, and major competitors and stakeholders. Build strong, collaborative relationships with US Pharma stakeholders and worldwide colleagues.
Drive strategic and integrated approach for social media strategies and counsel to Disease/Brand Product Communication Heads in the US, as appropriate, to support the achievement of business goals and support Novartis US Pharma Communication and Advocacy team objectives
Contribute to new ideas and lead pilot programs that can be leveraged across the division, and potentially across Novartis at country/regional levels
Track program performance of active registered Social Media programs
Accountable for designing and delivering metrics/performance management for each social media initiative undertaken as it connects through comms objectives and leads to business impact.

University degree required (strategic communication/public relations, journalism or marketing preferred)
7-10 years social and/or digital communications experience.
Extensive experience with multiple social media and digital platforms, content development/monitoring/analysis, and social & digital media programming within a regulated environment (must have)
Prefer experience in Social Media Management Systems, such as Social Studio, Sprinklr or Percolate.
Experience in US Pharma branded and unbranded social media programs is highly preferred
