Under guidance of the Global Program Team Director (GPTD), provides operational support to the Global Program Team (GPT), particularly in the development and maintenance of accurate program plans, budgets and documentation. Provides a hands-on planning and operational support to the GPT. Supports GPTD to ensure smooth day-to-day operation of the GPT, identifies and helps resolve program issues, supports ad-hoc cross functional task forces/sub-teams, and helps facilitate alignment across sub-teams and line functions.
Supports Global Program Team Director (GPTD) in day-to-day operations of the program
Provides project management expertise to GPT working to ensure excellent execution of the program and ensure cross functional alignment of integrated program goals/strategy.
Responsible for developing GPT meeting agendas and for preparing clear and accurate meeting minutes.
Responsible for identifying and capturing action items and for liaising with Program Team Members (PTM) on follow-up activities and deliverables
Works with the GPTD to ensure smooth day-to-day operation of the GPT, to facilitate teamwork and positive team dynamics and to maximize team output
Responsible for elaborating and establishing accurate development plan (activities, timelines and resources) for the program to enable execution according to the approved Global Development & Profiling Strategy.
Works with the GPTD/GPH to ensure alignment of sub-teams e.g. International Clinical Team and Global Line Functions with agreed GPT strategy, development plan and resources.
Responsible for quality, accuracy and maintenance of the integrated program plan, budget and documentation using the respective Novartis systems and tools (OPX2/SUCCEED, dEIS, Goalkeeper, SharePoint, MS Project, etc)
Responsible together with Program Finance Officer in collaboration with the Program Finance Team for forecasting the overall program budget (external costs and headcount) by liaising with the PTMs and for timely flagging and communication of budget deviations with accompanying rationale

BA degree (with 10 14 Years); MBA degree (with 8 12 Years)
4 years in the industry
3 years or equivalent multi-/cross functional team experience
Demonstrated track record of success working on an international multidisciplinary drug development team, preferably in a complex matrix environment
Advanced knowledge of drug development process
Intermediate knowledge of regulatory and business requirements.
Intermediate level of basic science (advanced level required for positions on early development teams).
Expert planning and tracking skills, with the ability to capture details and summarize across GPT/program
Knowledge of resource (budget and headcount) planning and management.
Well organized, focused on results, capable of managing multiple projects, excellent time management skills with respect to priorities and self management Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) for bridging across highly diverse, cross functional, multi-national and geographically dispersed teams
