Act as primary finance business partner for both the Hematology and CART Business Franchise Heads supporting financial control, planning, and performance for the BF including budgeting, forecasting/demand planning and financial analysis as a key member of the BF Leadership Team.
Key member of the Brand Franchise Leadership Teams (BFLT) working closely with the Franchise Heads (responsible for Sales and Marketing) and with the Field and Brand Teams to drive franchise strategy and commercial success
Lead the development of financial plans for the Business Franchises to meet sales and profitability goals (Core Operating Income), identify and manage financial value drivers, ensure adequate investment is available and managed efficiently and effectively develop requests for additional funding when needed, assist in the development of ongoing brand strategies, identify risk and opportunities to optimize resource re-allocation where needed.
Manage Franchise Finance team by providing coaching and feedback to optimize performance. Ensure growth and development of team through development and execution of robust development plans.
Responsible for all Financial Planning and Reporting processes including strategic plans , Budgets, Latest Estimates, and Month/Quarter latest Outlook for all P&L lines including Sales, Advertising & Promotion, Field Force expenses, Revenue Deduction and Samples
Evaluate evolving risks & opportunities that may impact the Brand s performance vs. plan, while remaining current on Brand/market demand trends, product inventory, and other relevant analyses/data
Establish robust customer interactions internally and externally, coordinate specialty distributor orders, and monitor compliance with contractual terms, to ensure greater degree of forecasting accuracy
Lead and coordinate long-term financial planning for Hematology/CART Franchise through the annual Strategic Planning and brand planning process by participating in development of patient models, market trends and events forecasts
Test & challenge assumptions underlying financial plans, and ensure transparency of those assumptions
Develop monthly Executive Summary Report and business reporting pack for franchise management, brand teams and support functions
Design and implement a Franchise Dashboard for both Business Franchise Leadership Teams and lead monthly reviews of key performance indications (KPIs) along with Business Analysis and Managed Markets functions
Evaluate financial implications of Business Development & Licensing (in/out licensing) deals including financial modeling, NPV and sensitivity analysis. Assist in operationalizing deals working across CPO and BU functions and ensure appropriate accounting
Establish process and methodologies for ongoing investment decision and resource allocation while focusing on efficient use of resources. Identify and support Top Line Protection Plans, validate opportunities, gain management support, and ensure post-program ROI measurement and reporting
Develop models for patient and physician centric DTP/ co-pay support programs, propose resourcing alternatives, ensure correct accounting with FRA, and work with vendors to ensure reporting of appropriate metrics challenging assumptions where appropriate
Drive Productivity initiatives across the marketing and field force teams by identifying opportunities and ensuring implementation, periodic monitoring, validation and reporting. Inculcate an efficiency and cost savings mindset within the Franchise
Establish robust processes to manage the Hematology/CART Franchise by establishing linkages with US OBU FP&A Team, FRA, trade management, sales and operations planning, strategic sourcing, whilst constantly looking to streamline processes and automate reporting
Assist in evaluation, reporting and presentations for Sr. Management relating to distribution agreements, business processes relating to compliance (After the Fact PO analysis), Quarterly Field Incentives, among others
Ensure compliance with internal control standards, reporting requirements, accounting guidance, and purchasing policies. Ensure quarterly reconciliations and settlement with vendors
Coordinate internal/external audits (e.g. marketing operations, brand launch) and follow up for closure and implementation of audit points
Identify opportunities for process improvement, and participate in/lead IQP/Lean projects
Coordinate pricing opportunities, ensure due diligence by managed markets, forecast sales and revenue deduction impact of scenarios, and obtain management approvals
Provide support to BU-wide initiatives such as reorganizations, contract negotiations with customers, strategic sourcing process improvements, and other ad-hoc projects

Minimum 12 years of broad financial experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
Bachelor's required MBA and/or CPA preferred with demonstrated high level knowledge of Finance
Excellent financial analysis skills, advanced modeling and system skills are necessary to identify, present, and challenge key business assumptions
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills combined with strong business acumen are required in order to effectively interact and influence all levels of management
Advanced computer skills with a high-level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and data warehousing systems such as TM1, COGNOS (or similar), and SAP/BW
Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and disparate teams across function to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Individual should demonstrate leadership capabilities with proven people management skills
