Novartis is recruiting for a Director, Real World Evidence (RWE) Analytics. This position is located in East Hanover, NJ and will be filled at a level that is commensurate with experience.

The purpose of the position is to serve as the US HE&OR department expert on the design and conduct of internal real world evidence (RWE) studies and analyses, and ensure top quality, timely completion of these projects.
Provide expert consultation on all aspects of internal RWE databases studies/analyses including objectives, study design, data source identification, protocol development, statistical analysis and interpretation.
Provide strategic-focus to design of internal studies/analyses that will optimally support product value propositions and meet HE&OR strategic objectives
Maintain close collaboration and integration with RWE CoE Outcomes Evidence & Analytics team.
Lead/supervise the execution of internal RWE studies/analyses, including those completed by the Novartis Business Services (NBS) PLS Real World Data Analytics team.
Ensure high quality, readily interpretable deliverables (e.g., data tables, graphs, charts, study reports) are generated for internal RWE studies/analyses.
Guide development of RWE visualization tools / applications to broaden the accessibility of RWE insights across the US organization.
Effective manage and track all studies/analyses to ensure timelines are met and all stakeholders aware of project status.
Effectively communicate research findings internally and externally, as appropriate (e.g., congresses, publications)
Ensure latest methodologies and analytical technics are implemented for internal RWE studies/analyses across U.S. HE&OR.
Contribute to the continuing education of relevant line functions on RWE methodologies.
Provide critical scientific review of all U.S. HE&OR study concepts and protocols via participation on the Outcomes Review Forum (ORF).
Seek new emerging data opportunities with customers, academic centers, contract research organizations, & vendors in collaboration with RWE CoE.

Position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience.
Undergraduate degree in a relevant area plus Master s degree in biostatistics, epidemiology, public health, or another related field. PhD preferred.
At least 8 years of experience in the design and conduct of RWE studies/analyses for pharmaceutical products in the pharmaceutical industry or with a HE&OR contract research organization/consultancy.
Expert-level knowledge of RWE data sources and study methods including understanding of study designs that provide most relevant evidence to decision-makers
Excellent interpersonal communication, project and time management skills
Strong understanding of evidence needs of U.S. payers and other healthcare decision-makers
Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment with cross-functional teams.
Must be able to organize, prioritize, and work effectively in a constantly changing environment, and across different cultures.
Demonstrated research accomplishments including publications and presentations at scientific conferences
Ability to proactively identify new opportunities and solutions
