Lead the development of highly differentiated customer segment plans and identify healthcare trends that will impact Alcon s Pharma approach to different segments. Align with Marketing and other Customer Facing Leadership teams (e.g. Sales, Academic Development, Professional Af-fairs, Key Accounts, Multi-Channel) on proposed solutions across the identified key customer segments and across the relevant product portfolio. The individual will have responsibility for Al-con s Pharma customer segment strategy across OPTHs, ODs and Retina Specialists.
Lead the development of the customer segment strategy and align with the brand strategic im-peratives through the yearly IPS plans
Align with the Brand Team to facilitate the development of patient assistance and adherence ma-terials and messages
Partner with KAM/AAM team on HCP/Patient dialogue, patient programs and align messaging with the brand team
Works with agencies to develop portfolio materials and ensures strong presence at major meet-ings
Provides strategic direction to agencies to optimize marketing mix and leverages where possible PLS capabilities.
Maintains appropriate level of field (2 days/month) and leadership interface
Reports strategy, performance & critical customer issues to senior leadership in the organization
Insights Gathering including advisory meetings by segment as appropriate
Lead continued execution and refinement of key account segmentation and competitive planning for Alcon Pharma brands
Identify multi-channel solutions to reach key customers and key accounts to augment and amplify the efforts of the customer facing team (in close partnership with the marketing team)
Lead Customer needs assessment
Lead Customer profiling and targeting
Identify and report market trends in OD/OPTH/Retina by specialty and segment
Track and report on healthcare reforms and other practice/patient evolutionary trends
Co-Lead the Strategic Planning for KAMs/AAMs
Develop programs in support of key brand objectives and in line with channel strategy
Lead the development of academic programs that advance Alcon s leadership position as a trusted eye care partner and build a loyal relationship with HCPs as a result
Program evolution and linkage to brand pull through materials
Identify clear KPIs for each program and a process by which to measure program effectiveness and return on investment
Ensure a thorough understanding of compliance guidelines for all promotional materials and programs
Umbrella execution strategy within called on accounts: How do we show up to our customers beyond brand detailing?
Identifies how we position and represent Alcon Pharma to all customer segments
Works with Professional Affairs and other customer facing groups to develop and leverage KOL influence map across the customer facing and marketing groups.

Education: - Bachelor s degree in marketing, business, life sciences or related discipline
Languages: - Fluent in English
7+ years of US pharmaceutical experience with focus on product/brand management including customer
facing/sales experience (3 years at least). Understanding of Ophthalmology therapeutic area including knowledge
of key stakeholders along the continuum of care is preferred
Excellent quantitative abilities and excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentation) are a must.
Experience in Customer Solution Development and insight
Experienced building strategic plans
>2-3 years of agency/agency management experience
Solid understanding of marketing concepts
Strong track record of being a team player and collaborator
Comfort in front of senior leadership and on the podium
Outstanding level of drive, and the ability to juggle multiple projects effectively
The applicant must possess a strong background in Pharmaceutical marketing, a high level of analytical and conceptual ability in order to provide strategic focus to the brand, and demonstrate a proven track record of strong execution and results. The ideal candidate will be proficient at uncovering customer based insights and leveraging this knowledge to drive customized program development. Additional requirements include the ability to lead and manage teams and multiple vendors. 15-20% travel is required.
