The Global Commercial Finance Director is responsible for providing strategic finance leadership to the Global Marketing & Value Access Franchise Heads and their teams in influencing the Integrated Disease Area and Product Strategy (IDAPS).
This role will assist in driving the evolution of Oncology commercial model by developing globally aligned strategies & core tactics that are customer focused, productive, & of the highest ethical standards which facilitate more patients receiving the full benefits of our medicines. Manage financial business and risk analysis for decision support, showing various business models and analysis (e.g. ROI, CF, NPV, etc.).
Consolidating between functions to prepare, maintain and influence the franchise and disease area P&L to ensure effective resource allocation to drive sales.
Develops the franchise/disease area financial plans
Lead franchise 5 year Strategic Planning process
Assist in developing the Global Marketing & Value Access Franchise annual budgets and latest outlook
Evaluates impact to business and provides resource allocation recommendations based on external and competitive developments
Drives actions to mitigate risks & realize opportunities through assessment of product performance
Develops end to end disease area view and financials (e.g. Research, Development and commercial)
Provides recommendation based on external and competitive developments
Systematically provides monthly performance vs competition in each disease area to finance and commercial organization
Ensures resources are focused on critical strategic imperatives across all functions
Provides critical commentary on the drivers of product performance for various internal and external reporting and strategic decision making
Develops business cases with Franchise Heads and other senior management to secure resources for investment opportunities
Pro-actively monitors competitive landscape and BD&L opportunities in respective disease area
Drives new launch resource allocation recommendations
Reviews asset impairment testing of intangibles, royalties and amortization for products within Franchise
Marketing and Spend
Drives the proper Return on Investments through assessment of resource allocation
Drives the productivity agenda and ensures proper sourcing involvement to drive savings
Ensures business, medical and financial compliance

Bachelor is required. Discipline in Finance/Business/Accounting strongly preferred. MBA and/or CPA preferred.
10+ years of Finance experience (5 years within BPA)
BPA Experience at CPO and/or Region preferred
Strategic business partnering skills required
Cross-functional experience preferred
Facilitation skills required to function as a bridge between Finance functions and business, and for managing effective international and cross-divisional collaborations (e.g. between Oncology, Pharma), and for centralized functions such as NBS
