Responsible for assisting in developing 5 and 10 year OBU strategic financial plans. Play a key role in the Oncology global S&OP process and interacts with Supply Chain leads for long term operations planning.
Responsible for managing the IT systems behind the OBU Strategic Plan, LTDCP and latest outlooks and budget for OBU HQ operations.
Will assist in supporting seven Oncology Executive Committee members.
The role requires an individual with strong BP&A and IT system expertise along with the ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams.
Assist in the development of overall long term strategic financial and operational processes for Oncology including:
1. Assisting in the development of the 5 year financial plans.
o Assist in the coordination and planning of the 5 year strategic financial plan including all system aspects related to the plan.
o Engage with Group Finance and Innovative Medicine finance team on Strat. Plan requirements and metrics
o Prepare and forecasting various components of the five year OBU P&L
o Assist in preparing the strategic plan documents for CFO and CEO presentations to Group.
2. Lead the Oncology Global Sales and Operations Planning Process.
o Assist in ensuring both commercial and clinical inventory demand at both country and global level are robust and accurate in the systems
o Lead the LTDCP process from both a Finance and systems perspective.
o Prepare monthly/quarterly documents for review with Supply Chain.
o Interact with Supply Chain Brand leads to explain forecasting variances to Forecast and Strategic Plan
3. Assist the Head of the Department by understanding HQ operations both in Basel and East Hanover along with providing system support when needed. Will provide backup support to the assigned HQ Function surrounding:
o HQ Planning & Forecasts (budgets, rolling forecast, MA1, etc. )
o Monthly review of Cost Center spend (Actuals versus Budget/Forecast)

Bachelor degree is required. Discipline in Finance/Business/Accounting is preferred. MBA is preferred. CPA is a plus.
7-10 years of Finance experience required (7 years within BPA preferred).
BPA Experience at CPO and/or Region strongly preferred
Cross-functional experience preferred
Strategic business partnering skills required
Strong Finance IT systems skills required
Pharmaceutical, biotech, or CRO industry is strongly preferred.
Strong Financial IT systems & skills. Ability to create templates to upload data and work with large databases.
Above average knowledge of methods and tools for providing high quality analytical decision support.
Ability to work in a global matrix organization at BU level as well as at Group level.
Creativity and innovation in preparing senior level presentations.
Experience working and understanding the complexity of preparing Global P&L.
Ability to create and update systems to consolidate Global Strategic Financial Plan and LTDCP.
Ability to collaborate and manage multiple stakeholders (divisions and functions)
Good understanding of the Pharma industry and value chain including cross functional dependencies.
Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and Finance systems knowledge (e.g. BPC, SAP, TM1)
