To provide support for US Pharma by partnering with Communications Franchise Business Partners and leaders to unify communications across enterprise, support business objectives and drive employee engagement and cultural change across Novartis
Strategic Partnering - Forms partnerships with key global and US stakeholders to ensure effective communications for enterprise wide programs and initiatives. Support leaders in the communications responsibilities, through coaching and two-way dialogue. Builds capabilities and provides tools for leaders to create communications and translate initiatives into relevant messages and actions for teams.
Innovation Identify and incorporate new tools, technologies and best in industry practices to drive employee engagement, including deepening connection with field-based associates.
Team Leadership/Project Management - Partner with Executive & Enterprise team and Communications Franchise BPs to develop and drive execution of US pharma messaging and campaigns. Effective execution through strong strategic project leadership, implementation and resource allocation. Prioritize business needs and build/manage pool of resources (agency/external consultants) to support Franchises/Functions communications. Identify synergies to create greater efficiency across Franchises/Functions and create frameworks/templates to share best practices.
Global Collaboration/Alignment: Understand the global Novartis organization, competitors and stakeholders that are of importance to the company. Build strong, collaborative relationships with global stakeholders to enable effective strategy planning and implementation. Adapt global programs for local execution, as appropriate.
Performance Management Develop metrics to assess initiatives and engagement. Measures key outcomes and adapts and evolves strategy to support engagement.

Bachelors or equivalent 4-Year university degree required. Concentration in communications, public relations or related discipline preferred.
Fluent English, other languages desirable
>10 Years experience in communications or related field with strong emphasis on change management, internal communications, and employee engagement
Strong matrix management and influencing skills to manage complex, multiple issues and projects
Relationship management demonstrated ability to build trust in all stakeholders and influence decision making across business
Business acumen experience effectively adapting communications and technologies to drive employee engagement
Business acumen understanding Novartis business
Comfortable with ambiguity
Strategic planning and complex program management
Outstanding written and verbal communications
Outstanding project management and budget/resource management skills
Ability to prioritize and maximize limited resources to achieve goals
