Responsible for all commercial inputs during development (from Phase III through launch) and for pre-launch preparation for assigned brands. Leads the GPT and CPOs in pre-launch preparation and delivery of tools to drive in-market success and maximize brand value across all customer groups. Provides effective people management/leadership
Develops new methods/tools related to marketing research, creates new analytical models to support forecasting and creates new ways to capitalize on insights.
Provides commercial input to GPT to ensure successful registration, reimbursement and listing.
Leads development of commercial deliverables to shape the brand and the market, communicates implications to the GPT, and prepares Novartis to ensure a successful launch and maximize product sales potential. Ensures product package meets all customer needs across channels.
Provides strategic direction to clinical trials and risk management plans.
Ensures the alignment of Market Access strategic and operational plans with product plan.
Provides input to the business case/approval for LCM options.
After launch, provides strategic leadership of the brand.
Identifies potential in-/out-licensing opportunities, including co-marketing and co-promotion.
Ensures close collaboration with CPOs, consolidation of input via GPT and alignment of plans and conflict resolution.
Proactively identifies and manages potential risks and opportunities for the brand(s), including development and execution of post-launch LCM strategy.
Generates stakeholder advocacy plans to prepare market for new products/indications.
Develops/maintains global pricing strategies for major products through life cycle.
Develops and maintains managed entry agreements.
Develops and leverages relationships with key customers.
Identifies and develops synergies across marketing mix and between brands.
Drives innovative marketing best practices across the organization.
Monitors and controls brand budgets and forecasts, and assesses the marketing mix of assigned brand(s) to evaluate cost effectiveness and results.
Identifies, resolves and escalates resource issues.
Manages associates to ensure effective performance, as well as talent development.

Education:University degree in Science and/or degree in Business Marketing or Clinical Research.
Languages: English fluent, additional language a plus
8+ years operational marketing experience with focus on extensive product/brand management, including customer facing/sales experience.
Previous WWBD and/or Regional Lead experience is preferred.
Respiratory Experience is required (Asthma ideally)
