Design, create, execute, and troubleshoot Ligand Binding- and flow cytometry assays intended for clinical trial application and diagnostic development. Candidates must demonstrate critical thinking, initiative and be able to manage success and failure of their projects. Participate on cross functional teams and development of alternate/new technologies of strategic importance. Guide and/or collaborate for successful execution of projects and processes. Independently prioritize multiple projects and work load with minimal supervision. Identifies challenges and communicates risks to leadership in an expedient manner. May serve as technical lead for assay development and/or execution of clinical sample testing from concept to completion. Works under minimal supervision while consulting with peers as required. Be able to direct routine tasks of associates with and without authority. Develops timelines and work flows to ensure successful execution of assigned projects and processes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Note: Other duties may be assigned.
Design, create, execute, and troubleshoot new procedures and assays
Authoring and reviewing technical documents including but not limited to work instructions as well as the assay
Plan & execute laboratory research and testing of patient specimens
May perform maintenance and function tests of complex instruments
May work directly with external vendors to resolve QC and equipment issues
Ensure quality control testing is performed and is within acceptable limits
Train and assist staff with technical and operational procedures
Identify and troubleshoot problems that may adversely affect test performance/results
Using critical thinking skills, analyze data for trends making recommendations to more senior scientific staff.

Demonstrated understanding of ligand binding- and flow cytometry technologies
Ability to apply principles, concepts, practices and standards associated with analytical assay development/validation and/or sample testing in a laboratory setting.
Excellent written and oral communication and intrapersonal skills required.
