The summer intern is expected to learn the basics of immunohistochemistry, contribute to immunostaining, image acquisition and quantitative analysis. Based on the project portfolio, there will be an opportunity to be a part of an ongoing effort to develop immunohistochemistry based assays for detecting several biomarkers on Formalin-fixed, Paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue samples.

Pursuing a degree in Biological Sciences required
Pursing a degree in Biological Sciences or pre-med a plus
Must have a GPA of 2.8 or above
Should have taken at least one of the following courses: biology, molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, genetics, genomics, microbiology, bioinformatics or anything else in biological or medical field
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, or PowerPoint)
Prior exposure to immunohistochemistry and protein-based assays
Learn assigned training and procedures
Learn use of advanced systems and tools needed for developing immunohistochemistry based assays
