The Co-Pay and Adherence Analytics Effectiveness lead will set the strategic direction for an insights-driven analytics and research team that proactively helps drive performance and shape the future of all Novartis Pharma (Innovative Medicines and Alcon) Co-pay and Adherence programs and our Patient and Specialty Services (PSS) organization.
In partnership with Franchise Heads, Patient Access Team and PSS Leadership, and working directly for the Executive Director for PSS Analytics, Data, and Effectiveness, this individual will take a leading role in shaping strategy and operational management of data and analytics to measure and support effectiveness of co-pay and adherence programs across the Novartis Pharma portfolio. This person will be responsible to gauge effectiveness of co-pay and adherence programs; provide input into design by modeling potential impact of various options (dollar amounts, behavioral segmentation); track effectiveness and ROI; and be the subject-matter expert on co-pay and adherence analytics. Many of the PSS programs are executed via external parties and we have a variety of data feeds/sources/inputs, the role of this person is to collectively work with our PSS program leads ( i.e. Adherence, Copay, SP, Operations, etc.) and the franchise commercial leadership to track performance, analyze effectiveness, and help proactively manage and make recommendations across these external vendors.
This individual will be the co-pay and adherence analytics/data/effectiveness expert for PSS, providing problem solving leadership to enable analytic-based solutions to business questions and challenges. This individual is recognized as an expert within the organization analytics/tracking/effectiveness of many of the US Pharma HUB Operations and tracking, Data Management Strategy, Dashboards (Brand/Franchise/Field), Program/Performance tracking/effectiveness and reporting across all programs (co-pay, adherence, hub operations, scenario planning, etc.) She/he is able to provide problem solving leadership to enable analytic-based solutions to business questions and challenges in situations requiring new/innovative approaches. This person will guide a team of Analytics associates who work across US brand teams/other analysts to address business questions to help shape channel/customer contracts, design and refine patient service programs, shape our interactions with specialty pharmacies, offer data analysis that helps to favorably shape policy outcomes, build strategies, and maximize patient impact and financial return for our program spend as pertains to co-pay and adherence activities and their contribution to brand revenue and therapeutic impact. The team will be generating, analyzing and synthesizing data & insights for our brands and customers/channels is critical to the development of brand and customer strategies and to driving business performance.
Single Point of Contact across PSS Analytics to all stakeholders ensuring high quality co-pay and adherence programs
Understands business priorities/challenges and changes in the healthcare landscape impacting co-pay and adherence and translates into data performance metrics and advanced predictive analytics for co-pay and adherence
Establish and innovate methodologies and approaches to gauge effectiveness of co-pay and adherence programs
Provide input into design of co-pay and adherence programs across brands by modeling impact of various options and design approaches, for example financial effects and behavioral segment impacts
Track effectiveness and ROI of all Novartis US Gen Meds co-pay and adherence programs
Be the subject-matter expert on co-pay and adherence analytics
Manage communications in partnership with the Director Adherence / Co-pay to key stakeholders inside the organization as it relates to co-pay and adherence analytics
Regularly interacts with external and internal vendors to ensure high standard of PSS data and analytics in co-pay and adherence
Rapidly problem solves and resolves data and analytics issues for co-pay and adherence as needed, working closely with Adherence and Copay Team, IT, DS&E, Analytics, Sales & Marketing, Finance, Managed Markets, Market Access operations teams

Bachelor s Degree in relevant area, MBA Preferred
Fluent in English (oral and written)
3-5 years Specialty pharmaceutical industry or related field
Strong understanding of co-pay and adherence programs and related data, reporting, and analytics
Strong communication skills and ability to translate technical information into business relevant information
Strong business knowledge and mindset to provide guidance on how data can be applied to answer business questions
o Understanding of how data is used for analytics & reporting
Vendor management skills
Strong problem solving & project management skills
Deep understanding of specialty brand data (i. e. data from HUB services, Specialty Pharmacies, Syndicated vendors, internal data etc.)
Prior experience in Business roles, both Sales & Marketing highly desirable
Ability to interface with and influence senior business leaders
